Varanasi Students Turn to Drain Gas for Tea in Protest Over LPG Shortage; Police File Case

An unusual protest by a group of students in Varanasi has drawn widespread attention after they reportedly extracted gas from a roadside drain and used it to make tea to highlight the shortage of LPG cylinders.
According to reports, the students staged the demonstration on a busy road, where they set up a kettle and improvised arrangement to brew tea. The act quickly caught the attention of passersby and locals, many of whom gathered at the spot to watch the unusual protest.
Police officials said the demonstration caused disruption to traffic in the area. After reaching the scene, authorities intervened and dispersed the gathering to restore normal movement on the road.
A case was later registered against the students for allegedly obstructing traffic and creating a public disturbance. Officials also seized the kettle, cylinder, and other equipment that were being used during the protest.
The incident has since sparked discussions on social media due to the unconventional method adopted by the students to draw attention to the issue of LPG shortage.
