Varanasi Play School Teacher Booked After Child Alleges Abuse

Varanasi: A teacher at a private play school in Varanasi has been accused of physically abusing a five-year-old student after he accidentally urinated in his pants. Police have registered an FIR based on a complaint filed by the child's father and have launched an investigation.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on July 24 at Serene Sony Play School. The child, whose father is an advocate, had reportedly asked his class teacher for permission to use the washroom. The family alleges that the teacher refused, causing the child to lose control and urinate in his clothes.
The parents further alleged that the teacher then took the child to another room, heated a knife, and burned his private parts. They also claimed that the child was physically assaulted and threatened not to tell anyone about the incident.
After returning home, the child reportedly informed his parents about what had happened. The family said they tried to contact the teacher but received no response. They also alleged that when they approached the school principal and management, they were threatened instead of being offered assistance.
The child's father later filed a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, an FIR has been registered, and the child has been sent for medical examination as part of the investigation.
Senior police officer Atul Singh confirmed that a case has been registered and said the matter is being investigated. He added that appropriate legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
Police have not yet released the results of the investigation, and the allegations remain under inquiry. The school administration has not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of writing.
