United Arab Emirates Defence Systems Intercept Iranian Drones and Missiles Amid Rising Gulf Tensions
The Ministry of Defence (United Arab Emirates) has released dramatic footage showing its air defence systems successfully intercepting and destroying incoming drones and missiles allegedly launched by Iran.
According to officials, several aerial threats targeted locations within the United Arab Emirates, but the country’s advanced defence systems quickly tracked and neutralized them before they could reach their intended targets. Authorities confirmed that the interceptions prevented any major damage or casualties.
The video shared on social media shows operations carried out by the Joint Aviation Command (UAE), including the deployment of Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters to counter the incoming threats.
Reports indicate that Iran launched multiple attacks, including as many as 16 ballistic missiles, amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region. The developments come as regional concerns grow over the presence of United States Armed Forces bases across several Gulf countries.
Security analysts say the incident highlights the fragile geopolitical situation in the Middle East and raises concerns about the potential for further escalation in the region. Officials in the United Arab Emirates have reiterated that the country remains vigilant and prepared to defend its territory against any threats.
