The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Chennai, has issued the tentative Round 2 online counselling schedule for the Diploma in Pharmacy course for the 2026-27 session. The notice covers re-allotment and allotment for government seats in government colleges and government quota seats in self-financing colleges.
Registration and payment run from 10:00 am on 5 October 2026 to 5:00 pm on 6 October 2026. Choice filling and locking open at 10:00 am on 7 October and close at 5:00 pm on 8 October. The Round 2 result is listed for 9 October. Candidates can download the provisional allotment order from 10 October to 3:00 pm on 14 October, and they must report on or before 14 October up to 5:00 pm.
The published rank band for this round runs from general rank GR 001 to GR 12718, with total marks shown from 99.00 down to 40.33. Special-category candidates who appear in the eligible list on the official website must take part irrespective of their ranks, the schedule note says.
Candidates should treat the Round 2 D.Pharm schedule PDF on tnmedicalselection.net as the operative calendar, not forwarded screenshots. Login credentials, passwords and OTPs must not be shared with anyone claiming to help with choice filling.
Who must register and what fees apply
Anyone joining online counselling for D.Pharm remits a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 250 through debit card, credit card or net banking. Candidates who already registered and paid Rs 250 in an earlier round need not pay again. Keep the earlier payment receipt handy in case the portal asks you to confirm prior registration.
Those seeking re-allotment of course or college must register again and complete fresh choice filling and locking. A seat allotted in Round 1 becomes available for others once the holder opts for upgradation. Anyone who upgrades in Round 2 must vacate the earlier seat and cannot claim to retain it after a new allotment appears.
Candidates who registered but were not allotted a government college seat in the first phase, and those who never registered earlier, can still join this round. The Selection Committee asks applicants to fill choices carefully because locked preferences drive allotment and casual last-minute edits after locking are not described in the schedule.
Pharmacy aspirants tracking other Tamil Nadu health-science windows this week can also read Dalimss coverage of M.Sc Nursing applications open till 7 October and the PG Allied Health entrance on 4 October. Those are separate processes with their own portals and fees.
What to do before 5 October
Keep Class 12 mark sheets, community certificates and any special-category papers ready in the formats the portal accepts. Confirm whether you already paid the Round 1 processing fee so you do not attempt a duplicate payment that the system may reject or leave hanging as a failed transaction.
Build a short list of government and government-quota self-financing pharmacy colleges before registration opens. During the 7 and 8 October choice window, lock preferences only after checking the live vacancy picture on the portal. Do not rely on Round 1 screenshots, because resignations and upgrades change what is actually open.
Reporting after allotment must finish by 5:00 pm on 14 October. Carry originals listed in the prospectus, the downloaded allotment order and fee proofs. Late joiners risk losing the seat even if the download window showed their name earlier in the day.
For updates after the result on 9 October, rely on the Selection Committee site rather than informal college forwards. If the tentative schedule is revised, the same news folder on tnmedicalselection.net is where a fresh PDF usually appears. Print or save each new notice with its file timestamp so you can show colleges which version you followed.
Candidates who hold a Round 1 allotment and do not want upgradation can skip Round 2 registration, but they should still read the schedule so they know when Round 2 joiners will report and when vacant seats may reopen later.
