The Selection Committee under the Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Kilpauk, has fixed the entrance examination for several postgraduate Allied Health Science courses for 10:00 AM on 4 October 2026. Ref. No. 1042/SCSII(2)/2026 dated 1 October 2026 tells applicants to download hall tickets from tnmedicalselection.net and report to the Chennai venue on time.

Courses covered include M.P.T, M.O.T, Master of Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology, Master of Medical Laboratory Science, Master of Optometry, Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, and M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology for the 2026-27 session.

The notice sits in the October 2026 block on the Selection Committee site, alongside provisional eligible lists issued the same day for each of those programmes. Applicants who filed forms during the extended window in September should treat this as the exam call, not another application deadline.

Venue and reporting times

The exam will be held at Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, No. 833, E.V.R. Periyar High Road, Arumbakkam, Chennai 600 106. Reporting time is 9:00 AM. Grace time runs only until 9:15 AM. After that, candidates will not be allowed into the hall.

No candidate may leave before the exam closes. Aadhaar Card or Voter ID is mandatory for verification at the venue. Candidates who forget photo ID risk being stopped at the gate even with a valid hall ticket.

Plan travel for Arumbakkam traffic on a Sunday morning. The grace window is only fifteen minutes after reporting time, which is tighter than many university exams. Keep the hall ticket and ID in a single clear folder so security checks move faster.

Eligible lists and hall tickets

On the same day the Selection Committee posted provisional lists of candidates eligible for each PG AHS course on the official site, including separate sheets for MPT, MOT, MMRIT, Master of Optometry, Nutrition and Dietetics, Nuclear Medicine Technology and Medical Laboratory Science.

Applicants should confirm their name on the relevant provisional list, then download the hall ticket from the same portal. Carry the printed hall ticket along with the photo ID named in the notice. A phone screenshot alone is a weak backup if the gate asks for paper.

If a name is missing from the provisional eligible list, raise the issue through the Selection Committee channels listed on tnmedicalselection.net before exam day rather than at the college gate.

What to do before Sunday

Reach Arumbakkam with enough time for campus security checks. Keep only allowed stationery if the hall ticket lists any restriction. Families dropping candidates should plan for the 9:00 AM reporting cut-off rather than the 10:00 AM start.

Sleep, water and a clear print of the hall ticket matter more than last-minute syllabus panic on the morning of a timed entrance test. Check the college entry route the evening before if you are new to Arumbakkam.

For the schedule text and the eligible lists, use the 1 October notice and the October 2026 section on tnmedicalselection.net.
