NEW DELHI: Sony's official India online store sells extended warranty plans for BRAVIA TVs from Rs 2,600 for one extra year on a 32 inch set to Rs 1,05,000 for two extra years on BRAVIA 5 or 7 TVs above 85 inches. The price depends on screen size and series. The plans must be bought before your one-year standard warranty runs out. Price as of 25 October 2026, 12:30 AM IST.
The store, ShopAtSC, lists the plans as separate products, each named by series, screen size and term. Sony groups the TVs by series code: BR2 and BR3 along with 2K models, BR5 and BR7, OLED, and BR9. The table below shows every plan currently available to buy.

A two-year plan costs about one and a half times the one-year plan for the same TV. For a 55 inch BR5 or BR7 set, one extra year is Rs 13,750 and two extra years are Rs 21,000. For a 65 inch OLED, the plans cost Rs 25,500 and Rs 39,000. BR9 plans are listed only as two-year cover, at Rs 80,000 for 75 inches and Rs 1,05,000 for 85 inches.
The store also still sells older plans named only by screen size, such as a two-year plan for 51 to 55 inch 2K and 4K TVs at Rs 10,350. Those listings do not name a series, so confirm with Sony which plan matches your model before paying.
What the terms say
The newer series listings carry only a one-line description. The full terms appear on Sony's older TV plan listings and its audio plans. Under those terms, the plan must be bought before the first year of standard warranty expires, and a two-year TV plan stretches cover to three years from the date of purchase. Sony repairs or replaces the product at its discretion and may use reconditioned parts.
You need the original extended warranty card when you ask for service, and Sony can refuse service if the card is missing, incomplete or tampered with. The plan cannot be transferred and is valid only in India. A repair or replacement does not extend the cover.
What is not covered
The terms exclude external accessories and cosmetic parts, damage from accidents, drops, lightning, water, fire and poor ventilation, and faults caused by improper installation or by unapproved equipment. Plans are void if the serial number is altered or removed. TVs used for commercial, business, educational or rental purposes are not covered. The terms say your statutory rights under Indian law are not affected.
Audio plans
Sony also sells one-year extensions for audio products, which take cover from one year to two years. These are the plans available to buy:
| Audio plan | Price for +1 year |
|---|---|
| Party Speaker Gold | Rs 899 |
| Soundbar Bronze | Rs 1,499 |
| Party Speaker Platinum | Rs 1,499 |
| ANC Platinum | Rs 1,999 |
| Soundbar Silver | Rs 1,999 |
| Soundbar Gold | Rs 2,499 |
| Soundbar Platinum | Rs 3,999 |
The listings do not say which models fall into each tier, so check with Sony before buying.
