Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Speaks to Dalimss News After Returning from Magh Mela, Raises Concerns Over Treatment of Hindu Symbols

Varanasi — Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand, in an exclusive interaction with Dalimss News after returning from the Magh Mela, expressed dissatisfaction over recent developments related to Hindu religious symbols and said that many followers of Sanatan Dharma feel hurt.
Speaking after his return, the Shankaracharya stated that he stayed at the Magh Mela site for four days expecting authorities to acknowledge and correct what he described as mistakes. However, according to him, no concrete response or acceptance came from the administration during that period.
He said that after waiting for dialogue and corrective action, he decided to leave the site and indicated that the matter would be raised again during the next Magh Mela gathering if concerns remain unaddressed.
During the conversation, Swami Avimukteshwaranand emphasized that his immediate focus will now be on promoting and strengthening efforts related to cow protection (gau mata raksha). He described it as a key priority area for upcoming religious and social initiatives.
He also called for greater sensitivity from authorities toward religious sentiments and symbols, adding that issues repeatedly raised by Sanatan representatives should be addressed through proper dialogue and mutual understanding.
The statement has drawn attention among followers and religious groups, with further reactions expected in the coming days.
