How much the colour changes the price

The two cheapest colours, Canyon Red and Cali Green, cost Rs 3,37,909. Sunset Strip adds Rs 8,927, Black Ray adds Rs 20,078 and Mark 2 adds Rs 31,228. The Mark 2 colour therefore costs 9.2 per cent more than the base colours, for the same engine and chassis.

The gap between the cheapest and the dearest colour is Rs 31,228. Royal Enfield lists no other difference in the price table, so buyers choosing Mark 2 are paying for the paint and finish.

The cheapest Interceptor costs Rs 3,37,909, which is Rs 29,683 less than the starting price of the Classic 650 in our Classic 650 price report at Rs 3,67,592. Power and weight

Royal Enfield's page describes the 648 cc engine as making about 47 horsepower, which it also gives as 34.9 kW, and about 52 Nm of torque. The page quotes slightly different rpm figures for the peaks in two places, so we have not printed them. With a kerb weight of 218 kg, 47 horsepower works out to about 216 horsepower for every tonne.
