Restaurant owners in Varanasi have expressed growing concern over the availability of commercial LPG cylinders, saying the situation could disrupt operations if supplies do not improve soon. Many operators say their businesses depend entirely on LPG for daily cooking, and delays in cylinder deliveries are creating uncertainty in maintaining regular service.

According to several restaurant operators in the city, the current stock of commercial cylinders at many establishments is limited and may last only a day or two if fresh supplies are not delivered. Some owners have already started reducing menu options to conserve gas, while others say they may be forced to temporarily suspend operations if the situation continues. For small and medium-sized restaurants, LPG remains the primary fuel source, leaving them with very few alternatives in the short term.

The concern comes at a time when reports of supply disruptions are being discussed in different parts of the country. Local business operators in Varanasi have urged authorities and gas distribution agencies to ensure steady availability of commercial cylinders. They say timely supply is essential not only for sustaining restaurant operations but also for protecting the livelihoods of workers employed in the city’s hospitality sector.
