Key facts: Renault Kwid price October 2026

Starting price: Rs 4,52,900 ex-showroom for the Kwid Evolution manual.

Top version: Rs 5,60,900 ex-showroom for the Kwid Climber AMT.

Engine: 999 cc petrol, with a manual or AMT gearbox.

Where to buy: Renault India dealers and the official Renault website.

Renault Kwid price for all four versions

Kwid Evolution: Rs 4,52,900.

Kwid Evolution AMT: Rs 4,89,900.

Kwid Climber: Rs 5,14,900.

Kwid Climber AMT: Rs 5,60,900.

The automatic costs Rs 37,000 more on the Evolution and Rs 46,000 more on the Climber. Moving from the Evolution manual to the Climber manual adds Rs 62,000.

The simpler two-trim list makes the choice quicker than before. A first-time buyer who wants the lowest price and is happy with a clutch will look at the Evolution manual, while the Evolution AMT at Rs 4,89,900 is the cheapest way into a two-pedal Kwid.

In percentage terms, the Rs 37,000 automatic premium is about 8.2 percent of the Evolution's price, and the Rs 46,000 premium on the Climber about 8.9 percent. The Climber manual at Rs 5,14,900 costs Rs 25,000 more than the Evolution AMT, so at nearly the same budget a buyer has to choose between the Climber's extra kit and a clutch-free drive in city traffic.

What the Evolution and Climber get

Renault's Kwid page lists the same basics for the whole range: 184 mm of ground clearance, a 279-litre boot and 17 standard safety features, with ABS among them. The design also gets body cladding, front and rear skid plates, roof rails and a new grille carrying Renault's new logo.

The Evolution's highlighted features are LED daytime running lamps, a 20.32 cm (8-inch) touchscreen with Renault's MediaNAV system, remote keyless entry with central locking and hill start assist. For a car under Rs 5 lakh, the touchscreen and hill start assist are the two that buyers in hilly towns and dense traffic will notice most.

The Climber adds electrically adjustable mirrors with turn indicators, a reverse parking camera with guidelines, steering-mounted audio controls and dual-tone styled wheel covers. Renault also mentions a two-tone body colour option on the Kwid page. So the Rs 62,000 step from Evolution to Climber mostly pays for the camera, the mirror and steering controls, and the look.

Renault does not show an on-road figure on the page. Registration charges and insurance vary by state, so ask the dealer for an itemised on-road quote before paying the booking amount.

How the Kwid price compares

The Kwid's closest rival in price is Maruti Suzuki's Alto K10. Our Maruti Alto K10 price list shows it running from Rs 3,69,900 to Rs 5,44,900, so the Alto starts Rs 83,000 lower, while the top versions of the two cars are within Rs 16,000 of each other.

Inside Renault's own range, the same official page lists the Triber from Rs 5,80,875 and the Kiger from Rs 5,81,000. That puts the Kwid Climber AMT at Rs 19,975 less than the cheapest Triber, so buyers stretching for an AMT Kwid may also want to see a base Triber or Kiger.
