Police Action Against Drug Trafficking Network, ₹6 Crore Assets Attached

In a major action against organized crime, the Sonbhadra Police have seized properties worth nearly Rs 6 crore belonging to codeine-based cough syrup smuggler Bhola Prasad Jaiswal. The assets were allegedly acquired through illegal drug trafficking activities.
Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma said that the action was taken under laws related to organized crime and illegal narcotics. He stated that the seized properties were generated through unlawful means and were being used to support criminal networks.
Police officials added that investigations are ongoing and more actions may follow. The crackdown is part of a wider drive to curb drug smuggling and organized crime in the region.
