Varanasi is set to witness a vibrant celebration of culture, tradition, and folk heritage with the grand organization of Pindara Mahotsav 2026, scheduled from 30 January to 01 February 2026. Organized with the support of the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, the festival aims to bring the rich folk culture, music, dance, and rural traditions of Varanasi and other regions of Uttar Pradesh to the forefront.

The festival will be inaugurated on 30 January 2026 at 11:00 AM by the Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture, Government of Uttar Pradesh, marking the beginning of a three-day cultural extravaganza. On the opening day itself, a marathon race (for men and women) will also be organized from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, adding an element of fitness and social participation to the celebrations.

On 01 February 2026, the District Disability Welfare Department will distribute assistive devices to specially-abled individuals, while under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, sewing machines will be distributed to women beneficiaries to promote self-reliance and empowerment.

The Pindara Mahotsav will also feature exhibitions from various departments including basic education, Anganwadi, health, animal husbandry, agriculture, rural development, and disability welfare, providing information and benefits to the general public.

The cultural evenings will showcase mesmerizing performances by renowned artists and folk groups, presenting folk dances, traditional songs, and classical music, celebrating the artistic diversity of the region. The event promises to be a perfect blend of culture, social welfare, and community participation, strengthening the bond between tradition and development.
