Abhishek Kaushik, 34, of Saripur village under Gyanpur police station in Bhadohi district, died after his car slammed into the rear of a truck parked on the Harpur ring-road overbridge in Mirzamurad police station limits late on Friday, 18 September 2026. Mirzamurad officers said the car was moving from the Rakhauna side toward Harhua when the impact wedged much of the vehicle’s front into the standing truck. The driver was trapped and died at the scene.

Passers-by informed the station only hours later. Sub-inspector Prem Kumar reached with a team and called in a crane. After a difficult extraction, police pulled the damaged car free and recovered the body from inside. Contact with the family was made through a mobile phone found with the deceased, officers said. Abhishek was identified as the son of Sanjay Kumar Singh and as the family’s only son.

Police took the truck into custody and shifted the wrecked car to Khajuri police station for further process. The circumstances of why the truck was standing on the overbridge and how fast the car was travelling remain under inquiry. This desk does not assign criminal negligence to any named truck crew without a charge sheet, and it does not invent an FIR number that has not been shown here.

Two secondary tips offered conflicting notes on Abhishek’s work — one calling him a medical representative, another linking him to a corporate kiln. Neither claim is treated as settled in this copy. The police identification that stands is name, age, father’s name and Saripur–Gyanpur–Bhadohi address. Occupation can wait for a family or employer confirmation on the record.

Harpur ring road is a night corridor where overbridge parking and high speed make a lethal mix when a car meets a stationary heavy vehicle. The delayed discovery — several hours before passers-by flagged the station — also shapes the rescue timeline: by the time the crane arrived, the medical outcome was already death at the spot rather than a trauma-centre race.

For Mirzamurad station, the immediate file is an accidental death inquiry with a seized truck and a car held at Khajuri. For the Bhadohi family, the stamp is the loss of an only son after a Friday-night crash on a Varanasi-belt ring road. For other drivers using the Harpur overbridge after dark, the caution is factual rather than sermonising: a parked truck on the deck and a fast approach left no recovery window once the cabin was crushed.

This report records what SI Prem Kumar’s team described — location, direction of travel, crane recovery, identity and seizure — and stops short of courtroom conclusions. Abhishek Kaushik, 34, of Saripur, died when his car rammed a truck on the Harpur ring-road overbridge; Mirzamurad police are investigating the circumstances.
