MCC opens Round-1 FLOAT resign window through 15 September without forfeiture

The Medical Counselling Committee has opened a fresh resignation and seat-withdrawal facility for Round-1 FLOAT candidates in UG Counselling 2026 who joined an MCC-allotted seat, did not upgrade in Round 2, retained the Round-1 seat, and now want to leave it. The order is Notice No. 22, Ref. U-11011/07/2026-MEC, dated 13.09.2026, from the Office of MCC under the Directorate General of Health Services, New Delhi-110011. The letterhead email on the PDF is adgme@nic.in. Notice posted on: 13.09.2026. The CDN upload is 202609131686896352.pdf. CreationDate on the local file is Sun Sep 13 06:53:57 2026 UTC, which is 12:23 IST the same day.
Coverage is narrow. The facility is for FLOAT candidates of Round-1 who had earlier joined a Round-1 seat allotted through MCC counselling and did not upgrade in Round 2, with the seat retained of Round 1, but now want to resign or withdraw. It is not Notice No. 21 for FREEZE Round-1 joiners, not the Round 2 final allotment PDF dated 12.09.2026, and not the earlier FLOAT resign order already live as mcc-r1-float-resign-no-forfeit-31aug-2sep. Match portal status to FLOAT Round-1 joined and not upgraded before treating Notice 22 as your exit track.
Window, online slip and no-forfeit rule in Notice 22
Candidates who desire to RESIGN or WITHDRAW from their Round-1 joined seat can do so in online mode from 02:00 P.M. of 13.09.2026 upto 06:00 P.M. of 15.09.2026 without Forfeiture of Security Deposit. That is the full no-forfeit clock printed in Notice 22. Round-1 FLOAT candidates who were not upgraded and who want to resign are advised to ensure that they Resign or Withdraw their Round-1 seat by logging into their account and generate a Seat Withdrawal slip online.
The resignation given within the stipulated time mentioned above will be without Forfeiture of Security Deposit. Any resignation beyond the above-mentioned stipulated time, after 06:00 P.M. of 15.09.2026, will be WITH Forfeiture of Security Deposit. Candidates are advised to ensure that their Resignation Letter or Seat Withdrawal slip is generated online through the portal provided by MCC, failing which the resignation will be treated as Null and Void.
Those lines separate Notice 22 from a casual email to the college. The exit is online through the MCC candidate account. The no-forfeit promise applies only inside 02:00 P.M. on 13.09.2026 to 06:00 P.M. on 15.09.2026. A missing portal-generated slip makes the resignation Null and Void even if the candidate believes they left the seat.
How Notice 22 differs from Notice 17, Notice 21 and the Round 2 final list
Desk readers should keep four MCC artefacts on separate shelves. The live Notice 17 slug mcc-r1-float-resign-no-forfeit-31aug-2sep covered an earlier FLOAT exit from 03:30 P.M. of 31.08.2026 to 01:00 P.M. of 02.09.2026. Notice 22 is a new FLOAT window dated 13.09.2026 for candidates who stayed on a Round-1 seat after Round 2 and now want out through 15.09.2026 at 06:00 P.M. Same FLOAT class, different dates, different notice number.
Notice No. 21 dated 12.09.2026 covers FREEZE Round-1 joiners and requires physical reporting at the allotted institute plus a Nodal Officer-generated slip. Notice 22 covers FLOAT joiners and runs online through the candidate login. The Round 2 final allotment PDF dated 12.09.2026 answers who was Retained, Upgraded or Not Allotted in Round 2. It does not replace Notice 22 for someone who wants to resign a retained Round-1 FLOAT seat without deposit forfeiture inside the printed hours.
MCC hosts UG medical counselling news and events at https://mcc.nic.in/news-events-ug-medical/. Use only the official candidate login to generate the Seat Withdrawal slip. Retain a copy of the online slip with its timestamp, because Notice 22 treats a missing slip as Null and Void.
Ref. U-11011/07/2026-MEC, Notice No. 22, Dated: 13.09.2026, posted as 202609131686896352.pdf, is the one-page FLOAT resign order. The clock runs from 02:00 P.M. on 13.09.2026 to 06:00 P.M. on 15.09.2026; resignation is online; the Seat Withdrawal slip must be generated on the MCC portal; timely resignation is without forfeiture of the security deposit. Those lines, not Notice 17, not Notice 21, and not the Round 2 final allotment book, are the story.
