PUNE: The Mahindra Scorpio Classic costs between Rs 13,43,200 and Rs 17,48,400 ex-showroom, according to Mahindra's official price list, and it is sold only as a diesel manual. For buyers who want the same rugged, old-school diesel formula for less, the Bolero starts at Rs 8,56,999 and the nine-seat Bolero Neo+ at Rs 11,46,000. Price as of 20 October 2026, 12:43 AM IST for the Scorpio Classic and 12:28 AM IST for the Bolero range.
All three are diesel manuals, and Mahindra's pages note that prices at the time of delivery will prevail. Insurance, registration and road tax are extra and vary by state, so the on-road figure will be higher.
Scorpio Classic price list
Classic S, seven-seater: Rs 13,43,200. Mahindra lists this layout as 7SF.
Classic S, nine-seater: Rs 13,90,900. The two extra seats cost Rs 47,700 over the seven-seat S.
Classic S11, seven-seater: Rs 17,48,400. Mahindra offers the S11 in two seven-seat layouts, listed as 7SF and 7CC, at the same price. Ask the dealer to show you both, as the price list does not explain the difference.
That leaves a gap of Rs 4,05,200 between the cheapest S and the S11. Mahindra's page highlights dual front airbags on the Scorpio Classic, and the engine is the Gen-2 mHawk diesel, rated at 97 kW (132 PS) and 300 Nm.
Bolero price list
B4: Rs 8,56,999. B6: Rs 9,37,000. B6 OPT: Rs 9,69,000. B8: Rs 9,98,999. All four are seven-seaters with a diesel manual gearbox, so the whole Bolero range sits under Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom.
The Bolero uses a 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel that Mahindra rates at 55.9 kW and 210 Nm. Its page lists dual airbags, ABS with EBD and reverse parking sensors among the highlights. The step from the base B4 to the top B8 is Rs 1,42,000.
Bolero Neo+ price list
P4: Rs 11,46,000. P10: Rs 12,56,000. Both are nine-seat diesel manuals. Mahindra's page shows a top figure of Rs 13.56 lakh for the range, but that is an ambulance version at Rs 13,56,000, which is not a passenger model, so we have left it out.
The Bolero Neo+ uses the mHAWK120 diesel, rated at 88.26 kW and 280 Nm, and Mahindra lists dual airbags for the driver and front passenger.
All ten passenger versions, cheapest first
Bolero B4, Rs 8,56,999. Bolero B6, Rs 9,37,000. Bolero B6 OPT, Rs 9,69,000. Bolero B8, Rs 9,98,999. Bolero Neo+ P4, Rs 11,46,000. Bolero Neo+ P10, Rs 12,56,000. Scorpio Classic S seven-seater, Rs 13,43,200. Scorpio Classic S nine-seater, Rs 13,90,900. Scorpio Classic S11 in either seven-seat layout, Rs 17,48,400.
That is a spread of Rs 8,91,401 from the cheapest Bolero to the top Scorpio Classic, with no version priced between Rs 13,90,900 and Rs 17,48,400.
Which one to look at
If you need nine seats on a budget, the Bolero Neo+ P4 at Rs 11,46,000 costs Rs 2,44,900 less than the nine-seat Scorpio Classic S. If seven seats are enough and you mainly want a tough diesel for rough roads, the Bolero B4 at Rs 8,56,999 is Rs 4,86,201 cheaper than the seven-seat Scorpio Classic S. On paper, the Scorpio Classic has the strongest engine of the three.
None of the three offers an automatic or a petrol engine in Mahindra's current list. Buyers who want those should look at the Scorpio-N, whose Z2 petrol manual is Rs 13,69,000, only Rs 25,800 more than the cheapest Scorpio Classic. The Z2 diesel manual is Rs 14,18,999.
Before booking, ask for a written on-road quote for the exact version and seating layout, and ask whether the booking price is protected until delivery. Third-row comfort varies a lot in these SUVs, so sit in every row at the showroom if you plan to carry adults there.
