CHENNAI: How much does the Mahindra XUV 7XO cost? Mahindra's official variant price list puts it between Rs 13,99,000 for the AX petrol manual and Rs 25,79,000 for the AX7L diesel automatic with all-wheel drive, ex-showroom. Price as of 19 October 2026, 12:40 AM IST. Mahindra's page also says that prices at the time of delivery will prevail.

One thing to note: the headline range on the same page reads Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 25.94 lakh, but the highest price in the variant table when we checked was Rs 25,79,000. We have used the variant table, since that is the price shown against each version.

XUV 7XO prices: AX, AX3 and AX5

AX: Rs 13,99,000 for the petrol manual and Rs 15,36,499 for the diesel manual.

AX3: Rs 16,37,000 (petrol manual), Rs 16,87,499 (diesel manual), Rs 17,88,000 (petrol automatic) and Rs 18,37,999 (diesel automatic).

AX5: Rs 17,88,000 (petrol manual), Rs 18,37,999 (diesel manual), Rs 19,38,499 (petrol automatic) and Rs 19,88,999 (diesel automatic).

The AX3 automatic and the AX5 manual cost exactly the same, in both petrol and diesel. So at Rs 17,88,000 for petrol, the choice is between the higher AX5 trim and the convenience of an automatic gearbox.

XUV 7XO prices: AX7, AX7T and AX7L

AX7: Rs 19,25,999 (petrol manual), Rs 19,80,000 (diesel manual), Rs 20,68,499 (petrol automatic) and Rs 21,15,500 (diesel automatic).

What six seats and all-wheel drive cost

On most versions, the six-seat layout adds about Rs 20,000 over the seven-seater. The exception is the AX7L petrol automatic, where the six-seater costs Rs 35,000 more.

All-wheel drive is offered only with the diesel automatic on the two top trims. It adds Rs 74,001 on the AX7T and Rs 83,001 on the AX7L, compared with the seven-seat diesel automatic of the same trim.

Petrol or diesel, manual or automatic

On the base AX, the diesel costs Rs 1,37,499 more than the petrol. Higher up, the gap shrinks to about Rs 50,000: Rs 50,499 on the AX3 manual, Rs 49,999 on the AX5 manual and Rs 54,001 on the AX7 manual. On the AX7 automatic, it is Rs 47,001.

On the AX3, AX5 and AX7 trims, an automatic gearbox adds between Rs 1,35,500 and Rs 1,51,000 over the manual of the same trim and fuel. It is Rs 1,51,000 on the AX3 petrol and Rs 1,35,500 on the AX7 diesel.

Engines and features

The 2.0-litre mStallion TGDi petrol engine makes 149.2 kW and 380 Nm. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel makes 137 kW, with 420 Nm on the manual and 450 Nm on the automatic.

Mahindra's page lists a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with VenueScape, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, a coast-to-coast screen layout, a panoramic Skyroof, Level 2 ADAS, DaVinci suspension, the AdrenoX+ connected system and more than 120 safety features across the range. As with any wide range, the lower trims do not get everything, so check the brochure for your version.

Where the value sits

The AX7 petrol manual at Rs 19,25,999 is the cheapest way into the AX7 trim. For buyers who want an automatic for city driving, the AX3 petrol automatic at Rs 17,88,000 is the cheapest automatic XUV 7XO.

A seven-seat SUV in this price band competes with a wide set of five-seaters too. Our reports on Hyundai Creta prices and the smaller Mahindra XUV 3XO EV cover two of them.

Because the headline range and the variant table on Mahindra's page did not match when we checked, ask the dealer to confirm the price of your exact version in writing at booking.
