LPG Cylinder Delivery Delays Across India: Government Assures No Shortage, Booking Cycle Extended to 25 Days

Amid growing concerns about LPG availability due to global tensions, many consumers across India have reported delays in receiving LPG cylinders even after completing their bookings. In several cases, customers claim that dealers are either delaying the delivery or asking them to wait longer than the usual supply period. This has raised concerns among households that rely heavily on LPG for daily cooking.

However, the government has clarified that there is no major shortage of domestic LPG in the country and that supply for household consumers remains a priority. Officials have also stated that the booking cycle for LPG cylinders has recently been extended from 21 days to 25 days, meaning consumers can place their next booking only after this period. Authorities have urged consumers not to panic and assured that the supply chain is being closely monitored.

If a consumer books an LPG cylinder but does not receive delivery within the expected timeframe, they have the right to file a complaint directly with their respective gas company. Oil marketing companies have dedicated customer care helplines and grievance systems to address such issues. Consumers can also use online complaint portals or mobile applications provided by LPG distributors to report delays or refusal of delivery by dealers, ensuring that their concerns are addressed promptly.
