BENGALURU: Apple's first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, goes on sale in India on 23 October. Apple's India online store lists it at Rs 2,99,900 for 256GB, Rs 3,24,900 for 512GB, Rs 3,74,900 for 1TB and Rs 4,49,900 for 2TB. Price as of 19 October 2026, 12:35 AM IST. Orders placed now are pre-orders, and the store page marks the phone as available from 23 October.

The Duo comes in two finishes, Star White and Night Sky, and every storage tier costs the same in either colour. Apple opened pre-orders on 16 October, as we reported when it announced the India price. With the sale now days away, the payment terms matter more than the headline price.

iPhone Duo price in India, by storage

256GB: Rs 2,99,900. 512GB: Rs 3,24,900. 1TB: Rs 3,74,900. 2TB: Rs 4,49,900. These are Apple's maximum retail prices, inclusive of all taxes. Each step up in storage adds Rs 25,000, Rs 50,000 and then Rs 75,000.

Even the base Duo costs Rs 1,35,000 more than the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro, which Apple sells for Rs 1,64,900. It is the most expensive iPhone in Apple's current India line-up.

EMI and cashback terms for the Duo

The payment terms are less generous for the Duo than for the rest of the iPhone range. Apple's No Cost EMI offer runs from 11 October to 11 November 2026, and most iPhones qualify for 3, 6, 9 or 12-month tenures. The Duo is limited to 3 and 6 months, along with Apple Watch, AirPods and Beats products.

On a Rs 2,99,900 phone, that is a big difference. A six-month No Cost EMI plan on the base model works out to about Rs 50,000 a month, roughly double what a 12-month plan would cost if the Duo were eligible for one. Apple says exact pricing comes from your card issuer, the minimum spend follows the issuer's threshold, and the offer may be revised or withdrawn without notice.

The store banner also offers up to Rs 7,000 instant cashback on selected iPhone models with eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. The minimum order is Rs 10,001, and the cashback is capped at two orders per card in a rolling 90-day period. The product page does not say how much of that applies to the Duo, so check the amount at checkout before you rely on it. If the order is later changed or cancelled, Apple says the cashback can be recalculated.

What the Duo is

Apple describes the Duo as having the largest display it has ever put on an iPhone, in a thin, foldable design. The frame and hinge cover are Grade 5 titanium, and there is Ceramic Shield on the front and back. It runs the vapour-cooled A20 Pro chip, which Apple says has a CPU up to 20 percent faster than the A19 Pro.

The rear has a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, which Apple calls the Dual Fusion system. On the front, there is a 12MP Center Stage camera plus an under-display FaceTime camera. Apple says an iPhone-first dual-battery system and an eSIM-only design free up room for battery capacity, and it quotes up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display. The phone supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 5G, and ships with iOS 27 and Siri AI.

Before you pre-order

Apple's India online store does not accept returns or exchanges, so a pre-order is a firm purchase once Apple accepts it. Its sales terms say a contract is formed when Apple sends the shipment notification email. If the device is faulty, Apple asks buyers to contact Apple Store customer service to discuss options.

Trade-in can lower the cost. Apple's page lists online trade-in credit for older iPhones, such as up to Rs 8,500 for an iPhone XR and up to Rs 5,500 for an iPhone 8, with the final value depending on the condition of the device. Trade-in credit is subtracted before the cashback threshold is calculated.
