iPhone Duo India price starts at Rs 2,99,900, pre-orders from 16 October

NEW DELHI: Apple has put India pricing for the iPhone Duo on its website, and the foldable starts at Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB model. Pre-orders open at 5:30 pm IST on 16 October, and the phone goes on sale from 23 October, according to the company's India store listing.

Prices and storage options

The iPhone Duo comes in four storage options on the Apple India store. The 256GB version costs Rs 2,99,900, the 512GB model is Rs 3,24,900, the 1TB variant is Rs 3,74,900 and the 2TB top model is Rs 4,49,900. Two colours are listed, Star White and Night Sky.

For comparison, the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900 for 256GB on the same store, so the Duo asks for exactly Rs 1.2 lakh more at entry level.

Buyers with American Express, Axis Bank or ICICI Bank cards can get up to Rs 7,000 instant cashback on the Duo, based on Apple's ways to buy page. The minimum transaction value is Rs 10,001, No Cost EMI runs up to six months, and the offer is limited to two orders in 90 days. With the full cashback, the 256GB model effectively costs Rs 2,92,900.

Two screens, one titanium body

As the name hints, the phone has two displays. Opened out, the inner screen measures 19.26 cm (7.6 inches) and uses a Super Retina XDR panel with a nano-texture finish and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. Apple says it is 50 per cent larger than the display on the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The outer screen is 13.62 cm (5.4 inches) and handles everyday tasks without unfolding the phone.

The frame and hinge cover are made of Grade 5 titanium. Both the front and back carry Ceramic Shield glass, and the phone is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. For video calls, Apple lists a 12MP Center Stage front camera along with an under-display FaceTime camera for the inner screen.

Chip, cameras and battery

Inside is the A20 Pro chip, paired with a vapour chamber to keep temperatures in check during long sessions. The rear setup is a 48MP Dual Fusion system with a Main and an Ultra Wide camera. Connectivity includes Apple's C2 modem and eSIM, and the phone ships with iOS 27 along with the Siri AI features, which Apple lists in English.

Battery is where the two-display design matters. Apple uses a dual-battery system and quotes up to 31 hours of video playback when the phone is used on the inner display, and up to 44 hours on the outer display. Wired charging can take the phone to about 50 per cent in around 20 minutes, as per the iPhone Duo page.

What buyers in India should know

The pre-order window on 16 October is the first date to mark. The jump from 256GB to 512GB is Rs 25,000, while going from 512GB to 1TB costs another Rs 50,000. Anyone who shoots a lot of video or plans to keep the phone for years may find the 512GB model the practical middle.

The cashback needs a close read too. It applies only to the listed cards, it is an instant discount at checkout, and the Rs 7,000 cap is the same across storage options. The final amount payable appears on the payment page before you confirm.
