HMD Vibe2 Pro 5G India price, sale date

NEW DELHI: HMD has put the Vibe2 Pro 5G on India's mid-range shelf, with Flipkart sales opening on 8 October 2026 during Big Billion Days. Launch offers put the 6GB + 128GB model at Rs 14,999 and the 8GB + 128GB model at Rs 16,999. Colours are Silver Mist, Aqua Green and Cosmic Purple.

The phone runs a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core chip with 5G, pairs either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, and expands via microSD. The display is a 6.78-inch Full HD+ LCD at 120Hz with about 800 nits typical brightness. Battery capacity is 6,000mAh with 33W charging and a charger in the box.

The rear camera uses a 64MP Sony IMX682 main sensor with a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is 13MP. Software is Android 16. HMD lists dual speakers, dual microphones, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm jack and a side fingerprint sensor. Dimensions are listed around 168.4 x 76.3 x 8.3 mm and weight about 197g.

India-focused software and service

HMD is leaning on Indus by Sarvam AI, an assistant built for more than 20 Indian languages with servers hosted in India. The company also points to optional Sanchar Saathi support so buyers can check SIMs registered in their name, report suspected fraud and verify or block a lost handset through the DoT citizen tools.

Ravi Kunwar, VP and CEO of HMD India and APAC, said the Vibe2 Pro steps up the Dimensity 6300 platform, the Sony IMX682 camera, the 120Hz FHD+ panel and the 6,000mAh cell with 33W charging, and framed Indus as part of an "Indian at heart" pitch beyond hardware alone. He linked the Flipkart Big Billion Days window to making the new Vibe model easier to reach during the festive rush.

After-sales claims cover more than 200 care centres and pick-up and drop support across more than 18,000 PIN codes. That network pitch matters in towns where brand service desks are thin and buyers otherwise hesitate on lesser-known labels.

How it sits against the plain Vibe2

The Pro SKU is a clear bump over the standard Vibe2 5G that HMD already sells in India. Buyers gain a sharper camera sensor, a smoother FHD+ 120Hz panel and the larger 6,000mAh battery with faster 33W in-box charging, while staying under Rs 17,000 at the launch offer. HMD also added a Wine Red colour for the existing non-Pro Vibe2 5G on the same Flipkart night.

Stock, bank discounts and exchange values will only settle once Flipkart listings go live on 8 October. Shoppers should confirm whether the Indus AI features need a separate download or account, check warranty length on the product page, and compare the 6GB versus 8GB nets if they keep many chat and camera apps open. Until then, the announcement fixes price, sale date and the core sheet for India's festive mid-range hunt.

HMD's India story has moved steadily from feature phones into Android 5G. Vibe2 Pro keeps the brand in the festive under-Rs 20,000 fight where battery life and a usable camera decide more purchases than peak synthetic scores.
