Haryana’s New Property Tax Policy: Women Get 25% Rebate, More Relief for Timely Taxpayers

Gurugram: The Haryana government has rolled out a new property tax policy, offering major relief to property owners across urban local bodies. Under the revised framework, properties registered in the name of women will receive a 25% rebate on property tax, while taxpayers who pay their dues on time will be eligible for an additional 5% discount.
The state has also provided relief to property owners by allowing tax payments at older rates for a specified period and introducing concessions on pending dues and interest in certain cases. The policy is aimed at improving tax compliance while easing the burden on citizens.
The new formula-based property tax regime was recently approved by the Haryana Cabinet and is expected to impact all urban local bodies across the state, including Gurugram.
