Direct Varanasi–Bangkok Flight to Start from Feb 1, Air India Express Announces.

VARANASI: Good news for travelers from Purvanchal and Bihar! Air India Express is all set to launch a direct flight service between Varanasi and Bangkok starting next month.

The Shift from Lucknow: Following a dip in passenger traffic, the airline decided to discontinue its Lucknow-Bangkok service and shift the route to Varanasi. This move is expected to significantly benefit tourists and business travelers from Eastern UP and Bihar, who previously had to travel via Delhi or Kolkata.

Flight Schedule (Starting Feb 1):

Departure (IX-215): Leaves Varanasi at 12:35 PM, arrives in Bangkok at 6:05 PM.

Return (IX-216): Leaves Bangkok at 7:05 PM, arrives in Varanasi at 9:35 PM.

Fares: Booking has already commenced. The initial one-way fare from Varanasi is priced around ₹8,857 to ₹9,057, while the return fare is approximately ₹9,548.
