BHU Doctors’ ‘Kashi Plus’ App Launches 15-Minute Bedside Medicine Delivery

VARANASI, INDIA — Resident doctors at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have developed “Kashi Plus”, a digital health app designed to help patients navigate services at Sir Sunderlal Hospital, the Trauma Centre and Mahamana Cancer Hospital.

The app brings together doctors’ OPD schedules, test rates, information on government schemes, online OPD booking and 24×7 chat support. It also provides step-by-step guidance through hospital procedures, aimed at reducing confusion and saving patients time, effort and money.

Quick Pharma promises bedside delivery in 15 minutes

Kashi Plus has now introduced Quick Pharma, a service for patients admitted within the BHU hospital campus. According to the press release, prescribed medicines can be delivered directly to a patient’s bedside within 15 minutes at discounted rates.

The service is intended to help patients and attendants avoid leaving the hospital to search for medicines or wait in long queues. It also offers an “Easy Return” option: if a prescribed medicine needs to be changed or returned, a delivery agent can collect it and complete the return process.

Platform reports more than two lakh users

The release states that more than two lakh patients have used services through the platform. It adds that over 50 patients a day receive guidance through chat support and telemedicine services. These figures were provided by Kashi Plus and have not been independently verified by Dalimss News.

The initiative seeks to improve transparency, organisation and efficiency in government hospitals by making essential information and support available on one platform.

Kashi Plus is available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The release describes the app as a digital health companion for patients using BHU’s major hospitals.
