The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has published the AP ICET 2026 web-counselling calendar for admission to MBA and MCA programmes under the convener quota. Online registration will open on 24 August and continue until 31 August, giving qualified candidates eight days to enter the centralised admission process.

The counselling covers seats in participating university departments and private colleges across Andhra Pradesh for the 2026–27 academic year. Merely qualifying in AP ICET does not place a candidate in the allotment pool. Eligible candidates must register, pay the prescribed fee, complete certificate verification and submit college and course options within the announced windows.

The calendar in sequence

Registration is scheduled from 24 to 31 August. Certificate verification will run from 25 to 31 August, while the web-option facility opens on 27 August. Candidates can enter preferences until 2 September. APSCHE plans to publish the seat allotment on 7 September, followed by physical reporting at allotted colleges from 8 to 11 September.

These stages overlap, so applicants should not wait for the registration deadline before organising documents. A candidate whose certificate has not been verified may be unable to use the option-entry window properly. Those seeking consideration under a reserved, local, income-based or other special category should check that the supporting certificate is current and in the format specified in the notification.

Web options determine the order in which seats are considered. Candidates should place programmes in their genuine order of preference, not in an order copied from a social-media list. Course availability, location, fees, hostel access and approval status all deserve a check before an option is locked. A less-preferred college placed above a better fit can become the allotted seat if the candidate is eligible for both.

What to prepare

The detailed notification should be treated as the final checklist. Typically, candidates need the AP ICET rank card and hall ticket, degree marksheets or provisional certificate, proof of date of birth, study or residence records needed for local status, and applicable caste, income or disability certificates. Applicants awaiting a final document should read the rules on provisional verification instead of assuming that a downloaded result page will be accepted.

Candidates should also keep the mobile number and email linked to their application active. Counselling alerts, payment confirmations and login recovery often depend on those details. A receipt should be saved after every paid transaction, and the final option list should be downloaded or captured before the window closes.

The allotment on 7 September is not the last step. Candidates must follow the acceptance and reporting instructions, present originals where required and pay the college fee within the stated period. Failure to report from 8 to 11 September can cost the allotted seat, even when the candidate has successfully completed every online stage.

AP ICET is the common route for many MBA and MCA seats in the state, which makes the counselling timetable consequential for thousands of graduates. The useful approach is to treat it as a chain rather than a single deadline: register early, verify certificates, research options, save the locked preference order, check the allotment on 7 September and complete reporting without waiting for the final day.
