Agra Police Arrest 81-Year-Old Fugitive After 42 Years

AGRA: Proving that crime files are never truly closed, the Kotwali Police in Agra achieved a remarkable breakthrough by arresting an accused who had been absconding for over four decades.
The Case (1983): The accused, identified as Shahzad (81), was wanted in connection with an attempted murder case registered way back in 1983. Immediately after the case was filed, Shahzad went underground and managed to evade the law for 42 years.
The Arrest: Despite the passage of time, the police continued their pursuit. Acting on specific intelligence, the Kotwali police team finally tracked down the octogenarian. Shahzad was arrested, produced before the court, and subsequently sent to jail, bringing a decades-old legal chapter to a close.
