₹8.5 Cr Renovation Planned for Sigra’s Shahid Udyan park

VARANASI: The Varanasi Municipal Corporation (Nagar Nigam) has accelerated its efforts to beautify the city's parks, announcing a major renovation project for the Shahid Udyan in Sigra with a budget of approximately Rs 8.5 crore.

Key Projects & Features:

Digital Library: A major highlight of the renovation is the construction of a high-tech Digital Library within the park premises at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore. This aims to provide a quiet, modern study environment for students and knowledge seekers.
Modern Amenities: The park will be equipped with state-of-the-art recreational facilities, including new swings for children, attractive fountains, and a dedicated pathway for morning walkers.
Infrastructure: The project also includes upgrading the lighting system and installing comfortable seating arrangements throughout the garden.
