VARANASI: IGNOU has announced an October 26 face-to-face placement interview for its learners and alumni in Varanasi. The drive is for Field Credit Officer positions with Annapurna Finance, not recruitment to IGNOU itself.

The university’s October 23 announcement sets a 12.30 pm start at Swami Vivekanand Seminar Hall, Microtek College of Management & Technology, fourth floor, Vinayak Plaza, Maldahiya. The official flyer lists an age limit of 28 and welcomes freshers and experienced candidates, both male and female.

The PDF includes 10+2 or graduate qualifications, but the accompanying JPG flyer says graduate. Both list BA, BBA and MBA with rural development, marketing or finance. Class 12-only applicants should confirm eligibility before travelling. Bring an updated resume, government identity proof, IGNOU ID and educational documents.

The flyer advertises gross pay of Rs 16,000-plus, not a take-home figure. It does not specify the pay period or job location. Employer provident-fund and ESIC contributions appear among the listed benefits. The interview announcement is not an appointment offer.

IIVR administrative transfers

For serving employees, the Indian Institute of Vegetable Research has an administrative vacancy notice dated September 27. It lists three Assistant posts, one Upper Division Clerk, three Lower Division Clerks and three Multi-Tasking Staff posts. These are deputation, permanent-absorption or inter-institutional routes, not an open fresher recruitment drive.

The Assistant route covers officials holding analogous regular posts or having ten years’ regular service at pay level 4 in the specified organisations. For UDC, the alternatives are an analogous regular level-4 post or eight years at level 2. The notice includes ICAR, central and state governments, Union Territories, autonomous bodies and public-sector undertakings within the eligibility routes.

LDC applicants must hold analogous substantive level-2 posts. MTS covers analogous ICAR posts or confirmed staff from specified organisations with matriculation; ICAR officials receive preference. Applications must go through the proper channel in the format to the Director, ICAR-IIVR, P.O. Jakhini, Shahanshahpur, Varanasi 221305, for receipt by October 26. Required records include performance-appraisal dossiers, vigilance clearance, an integrity certificate and penalty details.

Technical staff transfers

IIVR’s technical advertisement, dated September 27, covers four Technical Assistant T-3 posts under Category II. Three are in the field/farm functional group and one in laboratory/technical work. The category distribution is three Scheduled Caste posts and one Economically Weaker Section post.

The route is inter-institutional transfer for technical personnel appointed at the entry-level T-3 Category-II post in an ICAR unit. The advertisement requires at least five years’ service, including two years’ probation, following initial regular appointment at pay level 5. These are not direct-recruitment posts.

Applications must reach the Director at IIVR’s Jakhini address through the proper channel by October 26. The accompanying records include the initial appointment letter, attested appraisal dossiers for five years, vigilance clearance, an integrity certificate and the specified penalty statement.

The enclosed form asks for a transfer reason in no more than 100 words. The head of office must certify the records and that the employee will be relieved immediately if selected. Late or incomplete applications are unlikely to be considered.

Retired district-court staff

Retired district-court employees have a different route under the Varanasi district judge’s October 1 notice. Applications in the prescribed format must reach the Chief Administrative Officer, District Court, Varanasi, by 4 pm on October 31. This is re-engagement of retired staff, not fresh recruitment for general applicants.

The notice lists 72 Senior Assistant posts, seven Stenographer Grade III posts, nine Daftri/Bundle Lifter posts, eight Process Servers and 12 Ardali/Peon/Office Peon posts. The total is 108, but vacancy numbers may change because of recruitment and promotions.

An applicant must not be older than 65 at appointment. Engagement lasts one year, until the vacancy is filled through promotion or direct recruitment, or until the employee reaches 65, whichever comes first. Remuneration is last drawn pay less pension; a self-attested pension-authority or PPO copy must accompany the application.

Selection considers previous service records and annual character-roll entries and includes an interview. The notice does not announce an interview date. No interview travel allowance is payable, and the appointment is temporary.
