How much the colour choice changes the price
Between the cheapest and the dearest colour the gap is Rs 37,135, which is 19.7 per cent over the Redditch Red. Classic 350 specifications on the official page
The Classic 350 uses a 349 cc single-cylinder, air-oil cooled engine with electronic fuel injection. Royal Enfield lists 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm, with a five-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch.
The chassis is a twin downtube spine frame with 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and twin-tube shock absorbers with six-step preload adjustment at the rear. The wheelbase is 1,390 mm, ground clearance is 170 mm and the seat height is 805 mm. Kerb weight is 195 kg with 90 per cent fuel and oil, and the fuel tank holds 13 litres.
Brakes are a 300 mm front disc with a twin-piston floating caliper and a 270 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS. Tyres are 100/90-19 at the front and 120/80-18 at the rear, on spoked or alloy wheels depending on the variant. The page lists LED lighting and a Type-C USB charging port.
The engine has a 72 mm bore and 85.8 mm stroke with a 9.5:1 compression ratio and takes SAE 15W50 semi-synthetic oil, according to the specification table. The battery is a 12-volt, 8 Ah maintenance-free unit, and the headlamp and turn signals are LED. These are the details to compare when you test ride a used or older Classic 350, because older models used different lighting and charging hardware.
What to ask the dealer before you book a Classic 350
Ask which price group your chosen colour falls in, since the page prices the colours rather than the variants. Ask whether the quoted figure includes the optional accessories on display and whether the price is the one that was valid on the day you booked. Royal Enfield states that specifications may vary by variant, so ask for the printed specification sheet for the exact bike you will take home.
Finally, ask for the on-road price in writing. A bike that costs Rs 2,26,069 ex-showroom is a different figure after road tax, registration and insurance, and these differ by state.
