NEW DELHI: OPPO Store India does not take a phone back because you changed your mind. Its Return and Refund Policy offers a replacement within 30 days of delivery only if the device is defective or not what you ordered, and it must be unused, in its original packaging and with every accessory and freebie. A wrong product has to be reported within 24 hours of delivery. These are the terms on OPPO's policy page as of 23 October 2026, 1:00 AM IST.

The rules matter this week because OPPO is taking pre-orders for the Find X10 at Rs 1,39,999 and the Find X10 Pro Max at Rs 1,99,999 on its own store, with sales from 29 October (price as of 23 October 2026, 12:40 AM IST). Here is what the policy says, step by step.

Replacement, not refund, for defects

OPPO's policy says a replacement device can be requested within 30 days at no extra cost if the phone received is defective or not as ordered. Four conditions apply: OPPO's own examination has to find a defect that qualifies, the request has to be made within 30 days of delivery, the phone has to be unused and in original condition, and it has to come back in the original box with the receipt, price tags, labels, warranty card, freebies and accessories.

The policy also says replacement depends on stock. It does not cover wear and tear or damage during use, and it states plainly that it will not entitle the buyer to a refund, partial or full. So a working phone that you simply do not like is not covered.

OPPO's store listing for the Find X10 series shows the same 30-day window for devices found functionally defective, and the Find X10 pre-order page adds 180-day hardware defect replacement as a launch benefit. Keep the box and every item in it at least until that period ends.

Cancelling an order

An order can be cancelled before it is dispatched. Once it reaches "Processing" status, OPPO says it cannot be cancelled. To cancel, sign in to your OPPO account on the store, open My Orders, choose the order ID, scroll down for the Cancel option and confirm. Customer support can also cancel it on email at onlinesupportin@oppo.com or on the hotline 1800 103 7733.

OPPO also reserves the right to cancel an order itself if the item goes out of stock, stops being made, sees a price fluctuation, or a third party tells OPPO a cancellation is needed. In that case it says it will refund the money paid.

How long a refund takes

Prepaid orders are refunded to the same payment method used to buy. For cash on delivery orders, OPPO asks buyers to email or call support. Its policy says a cancelled order takes around 5 to 7 working days to reach its warehouse, and once it is checked there, the refund is processed in about 2 working days. After that, the time for the money to show depends on the bank.

If your money was deducted but the order was not confirmed, OPPO says to contact your bank, and that the reversal generally takes 7 working days.

Before you accept the box

The policy asks buyers not to accept a package that looks tampered with, and to hand it back to the delivery person before signing the proof of delivery. Record an unboxing video when the phone arrives, check that the colour and storage match the order, and report a wrong item the same day, since the window is 24 hours.

OPPO's terms of sale say returns, replacements, cancellations and refunds are handled only under this policy, and list opened accessories with a broken seal and products not in original condition among items that may not be returnable.

How it compares with other brand stores

OPPO is not alone in limiting change-of-mind returns on its own store. Apple's online store in India has its own return and price drop rules, which we covered in our guide to Apple Store India returns and refunds. For the phones on pre-order now, see our report on the Find X10 pre-booking pack and its refund terms. If you plan to buy from a marketplace instead, the seller's own return terms apply, not OPPO's.
