OPPO's current ColorOS 17 open-beta recruitment window ends on 12 October, giving owners of eight listed phones in India one final application date. The Android 17-based programme covers selected Find X9, Find X8 and Reno15 models. OPPO's official notices specify 9 to 12 October for applications but do not give a closing hour.

The company published the recruitment posts on 8 October. This is an invitation to test unfinished software, with eligibility tied to the handset, region and installed firmware. It should not be read as a stable ColorOS 17 release for every OPPO phone or as confirmation that every applicant will receive a download immediately.

Check the model and complete build number

The official recruitment round-up names Find X9 Ultra, Find X9 Pro, Find X9s, Find X9, Find X8 Pro, Find X8, Reno15 Pro Mini and Reno15 Pro 5G. India appears in the eligible-region list for all eight. The Find posts also cover Indonesia and Malaysia, while the combined Reno notice covers Malaysia and India.

For Find X9 Ultra, the listed detectable builds are CPH2841_16.0.10.500(EX01), CPH2841_16.0.10.600(EX01) and CPH2841_16.0.10.602(EX01). The Find X9 Pro notice lists CPH2791_16.0.10.500(EX01) and CPH2791_16.0.10.600(EX01). Find X9s has one listed build, CPH2873_16.0.10.500(EX01).

The standard Find X9 notice lists CPH2797_16.0.10.500(EX01) and CPH2797_16.0.10.600(EX01). For Find X8 Pro, the corresponding entries are CPH2659_16.0.10.500(EX01) and CPH2659_16.0.10.600(EX01). Find X8 owners are directed to CPH2651_16.0.10.500(EX01).

OPPO's combined Reno15 Pro Mini and Reno15 Pro 5G post prints CPH2813_16.0.8.300(EX01) and CPH2813_16.0.10.500(EX01). It does not provide a separate build list under each phone's name. Owners should check that combined notice against their device rather than substitute a firmware number from another Reno model.

Those identifiers matter because the posts ask applicants to update to a detectable version before enrolling. A familiar model name or a matching ColorOS generation alone does not establish that the phone is on one of the listed builds. The round-up links directly to every device-specific thread, so owners can check the complete string without relying on a cropped screenshot.

How OPPO says to apply

The documented route is Settings, then About device, followed by the top of the page and the button at the top right. Select Beta Program, fill in the requested information and choose Apply Now. After a successful application, OPPO directs users back to About device and Download Now. The notices say the application channel closes outside the stated window.

Submitting a form and installing the update are separate steps in those instructions. The posts do not state a guaranteed approval time or a testing quota. There is also no stable-release date in these recruitment notices. Readers following the wider update season can compare the separate OriginOS 7 India rollout schedule, but another manufacturer's timetable says nothing about OPPO eligibility.

Back up before considering the beta

OPPO explicitly warns that the test build is unstable and asks participants to accept the risks of incompatibility. Its instructions call for a backup of important personal data before updating. The community round-up also advises against using one's only phone for testing where that can be avoided, and asks users to read the rollback rules before applying.

The device posts say system optimisation after installation may temporarily cause heating, lag or faster battery drain. OPPO recommends leaving the screen off while charging overnight after a successful update, or allowing a few days of normal use. It also warns that some third-party applications are not compatible with the new software. These are the company's stated beta cautions, rather than results of an independent test.

Participants are expected to report problems. OPPO lists the *#800# code in Google Dialer and the Help & feedback section in Settings as reporting routes. The recruitment concerns software testing on the named devices; the separately reported OPPO F35 and F35 Pro India sale does not add those models to this list. For this round, the immediate checks remain the exact handset, listed firmware and 12 October application date.
