NEET Aspirants’ Rush Expected in Varanasi, Railways Deploy Extra Security and Medical Teams

Varanasi: Ahead of the NEET examination, railway authorities in Varanasi have intensified preparations to manage the expected influx of thousands of candidates arriving in the city.

Varanasi Railway Station Director Arpit Gupta said that railway officials have received a list indicating that nearly 25,000 NEET aspirants are expected to pass through or arrive at the station for the examination. In response, special arrangements are being put in place to ensure smooth movement, safety, and assistance for candidates and their families.

According to Gupta, additional personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) are being deployed to strengthen security across the station premises. The move aims to maintain law and order, prevent overcrowding, and assist passengers during the high-traffic period.

Railway authorities have also instructed medical teams to remain present at the station to provide immediate assistance in case of health-related emergencies. Special attention is being given to crowd management, passenger guidance, and ensuring that candidates can reach their destinations without difficulty.

Officials stated that railway staff have been directed to remain vigilant and provide necessary support to students arriving from different parts of the country. Help desks and passenger assistance measures are also expected to be strengthened during the examination period.

The preparations reflect the importance of NEET, one of India's largest medical entrance examinations, which attracts lakhs of students every year. With thousands of candidates expected in Varanasi, railway authorities are working to ensure a safe, organized, and hassle-free experience for all travelers.
