NEW DELHI: The MG Astor costs between Rs 9,79,100 and Rs 15,30,100 across seven versions, according to the price list on JSW MG Motor India's website. The entry Sprint with a five-speed manual is the cheapest, and the Savvy Pro with the CVT automatic, which brings Level 2 driver assistance, is the most expensive. Price as of 21 October 2026, 12:45 AM IST.
Every Astor uses the same 1,498cc VTi-Tech petrol engine with 110 PS at 6,000 rpm and 144 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The choice is between a five-speed manual and a CVT automatic, and between five trim levels. MG's list prices are shown for the Ivory colour, and the Savvy Pro is also listed in Sangria Red at the same price.
MG Astor price list, all seven versions
Sprint 5MT: Rs 9,79,100. It gets the 25.7 cm infotainment screen, three steering modes, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill hold and descent control and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It rides on 16-inch steel wheels.
Shine 5MT: Rs 11,34,100. This adds push-button start, silver roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Select 5MT: Rs 12,40,100. Select CVT: Rs 13,56,100. The Select adds the panoramic sunroof, heated outside mirrors, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, MG's i-Smart 2.0 with more than 80 connected car features, and a digital Bluetooth key that can be shared.
Sharp Pro 5MT: Rs 13,37,100. Sharp Pro CVT: Rs 14,52,100. The Sharp Pro adds ventilated seats, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, six airbags, dual-tone Sangria Red interiors and a six-way power-adjustable driver seat.
Savvy Pro CVT: Rs 15,30,100. This is the only Astor with MG's 14 Level 2 autonomous features, and MG says it carries 49 safety features in total.
What the automatic and the top trims cost extra
The CVT adds Rs 1,16,000 on the Select and Rs 1,15,000 on the Sharp Pro. That is the price of not using a clutch in city traffic, and it also brings the electric parking brake with auto hold, which MG lists for CVT versions. The wireless phone charger is also listed only for automatic versions.
The step from Sprint to Shine is Rs 1,55,000, mostly for alloys, push-button start and roof rails. The Select manual costs Rs 1,06,000 more than the Shine and adds the sunroof, wireless phone connection and the connected car features, which makes it the lowest-priced version whose feature list includes the panoramic sunroof.
The Savvy Pro sits Rs 78,000 above the Sharp Pro CVT. For that, buyers get the Level 2 driver assistance package. Buyers who spend most of their time in the city may not use these features often, while those who drive long highway distances will get more out of adaptive systems.
Six airbags appear in MG's feature list from the Sharp Pro upwards. If six airbags matter to you, ask the dealer to confirm the airbag count for the exact version you plan to buy, because lower trims in the list do not mention it.
MG's FAQ on the same page lists six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, hill hold and hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera and an electronic parking brake among the Astor's safety features. That answer describes the range as a whole, so the per-variant list is the better guide to what a specific version includes.
Size and what to check at the dealer
The Astor is 4,323 mm long, 1,809 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, with a 2,585 mm wheelbase and a 48-litre fuel tank. It seats five, and MG's specification table lists disc brakes at the front and rear. Tyres are 215/55 R16 on the Sprint's steel wheels and 215/55 R17 on the alloy wheels from the Shine upwards.
Ask for a written on-road quote for the exact version and colour, and check what accessories are being added to the bill. The prices here are MG's listed figures and do not include insurance, registration or optional packs.
