NEW DELHI: The Maruti Suzuki Swift costs Rs 5,83,900 to Rs 8,88,900 ex-showroom in India, according to the price list on Maruti Suzuki's Arena website. The entry LXi manual opens the range and the ZXi+ AMT closes it. Maruti lists 15 versions across petrol and S-CNG, with manual, AMT and CNG automatic (AGS) gearboxes. Price as of 23 October 2026, 2:00 AM IST, on Maruti Suzuki's Swift price page.
These are starting prices for each version. Maruti notes that dual-tone paint may cost more, and that the price and scheme in force on the date of invoice will apply.
Maruti Swift price list, October 2026
Petrol manual: LXi MT Rs 5,83,900, VXi MT Rs 6,67,900, VXi (O) MT Rs 6,93,900, ZXi MT Rs 7,61,900 and ZXi+ MT Rs 8,43,900.
Petrol AMT: VXi AMT Rs 7,12,900, VXi (O) AMT Rs 7,38,900, ZXi AMT Rs 8,06,900 and ZXi+ AMT Rs 8,88,900.
S-CNG manual: VXi CNG Rs 7,57,400, VXi (O) CNG Rs 7,83,400 and ZXi CNG Rs 8,51,400.
S-CNG automatic (AGS): VXi CNG AGS Rs 7,92,400, VXi (O) CNG AGS Rs 8,18,400 and ZXi CNG AGS Rs 8,86,400.
How the price gaps work
The Swift's pricing follows a simple pattern. Moving from LXi to VXi costs Rs 84,000. The VXi (O) adds Rs 26,000 over the VXi. An AMT costs Rs 45,000 more than the matching manual on every petrol version, from VXi up to ZXi+. Switching a petrol manual to S-CNG adds Rs 89,500 at VXi, VXi (O) and ZXi level, and the AGS automatic adds a further Rs 35,000 over a CNG manual.
That means the cheapest automatic Swift is the VXi AMT at Rs 7,12,900, and the cheapest CNG automatic is the VXi CNG AGS at Rs 7,92,400. Maruti offers the CNG automatic in three trims, VXi, VXi (O) and ZXi, which gives city drivers who want low running costs and no clutch pedal more than one choice.
Engine and features
All Swift versions use a 1197 cc engine, according to Maruti's variant cards. The LXi card highlights a keyless entry system, side and curtain airbags and hill hold assist. From the VXi up, the cards list the SmartPlay Pro 17.78 cm touchscreen along with the side and curtain airbags and hill hold assist. Maruti's public page does not break down every feature by version, so buyers comparing the VXi (O) with the ZXi should download the brochure from the same page or ask the dealer for the full variant sheet.
The ZXi+ is the only version Maruti shows with a dual-tone option, at Rs 8,43,900 for the manual and Rs 8,88,900 for the AMT as starting prices. Dual-tone paint can add to that figure, according to the page.
Swift or Dzire?
The Swift and the Dzire saloon both use a 1197 cc engine on Maruti's variant cards, and the two are priced close together. The Dzire LXi starts at Rs 6,30,600, which is Rs 46,700 more than the Swift LXi. Buyers who need a larger boot may find the saloon worth the extra. Those who park in tight city lanes may prefer the shorter hatchback.
Within the wider market, the Swift's top versions overlap with entry compact SUVs. Hyundai's Exter starts at Rs 5,80,600, as covered in our Exter price report, and the Hyundai Venue starts at Rs 7,99,900, in our Venue price list.
Waiting period and buying tips
Maruti's page shows a waiting period of more than two months on every Swift version as of this check. Ask the dealer for a written delivery estimate and confirm whether the colour you want changes that timeline.
On-road prices will be higher than the ex-showroom figures here because registration, road tax and insurance are added, and these vary by state. Ask for an itemised quote before paying a booking amount. The full price list and brochure are on Maruti's official Swift price page, and test drives can be booked at any Arena showroom.
