Candidates waiting for an Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha or Unani seat in Kerala, or a seat in one of the state's medical allied courses, must log in and confirm their options by 5 PM on 8 October 2026 if they want to be considered in the second phase of allotment.
The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) set out the schedule in a KEAM 2026 notification dated 3 October 2026. The website opened for option confirmation on 3 October, and the provisional second phase allotment will be published on 9 October.
The confirmation step is mandatory. A candidate who does not click the confirm button on the home page will not be considered in this phase, even if higher options were registered earlier.
Courses in this round
The second phase covers state quota seats for the academic year 2026-27 in BAMS, BSMS, BHMS and BUMS. It also includes the medical allied courses that Kerala allots through the same process: B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, the integrated B.Sc. M.Sc. in Biology and in Microbiology, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Co-operation and Banking, B.Sc. (Hons.) Climate Change and Environmental Science, B.Tech. Biotechnology, BVSc. and AH, and BFSc.
Admission to the veterinary course in this phase comes with a condition. CEE says it will be subject to the final order of the Veterinary Council of India on extending the closing date for admission.
Fresh options are allowed in only one case. Candidates may register new options for the BHMS course at Athurasramam NSS Homoeopathic Medical College. For every other course and college, candidates can only rearrange or delete the higher options they already hold.
The dates
Option confirmation, rearrangement and deletion of options close at 5 PM on 8 October. The provisional second allotment is due on 9 October and the final allotment on 10 October.
Candidates who get a seat must pay the required fees and join the allotted college between 11 October and 4 PM on 14 October. College authorities have to update admission details on the OAMS portal by 5 PM on 14 October.
Think before you confirm
The notification carries a warning for students who already joined a college in the first phase. If such a candidate confirms options and then vacates the seat, the higher options will not be considered for further allotments.
A candidate who took admission in the first phase and does not confirm options keeps the first phase seat. So a student who is content with the current college can simply do nothing, while a student who wants a better seat has to confirm and accept the risk of the new allotment.
CEE also tells candidates to list only those courses and colleges they are sure to join. Anyone who is allotted a seat and does not take admission within the time limit loses the allotment and will not be considered for further centralised allotment in the medical and medical allied stream.
Fees for 2026-27 are not final
The fee for 2026-27 has not yet been fixed for the self-financing Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani colleges. Students allotted to these colleges should provisionally pay the fee fixed for 2025-26, and pay the balance later if the Admission Supervisory Committee, the government or the High Court fixes a higher fee for 2026-27.
Candidates allotted under the SC, ST and OEC categories, those covered by the fee concession orders listed in the notification and candidates from Sreechitra Home, Juvenile Home and Nirbhaya Home do not have to pay the fee at the time of admission. The concession does not apply if they are allotted management quota seats.
Kerala is one of several states running AYUSH and allied rounds this week. Odisha has its own window, reported in Odisha's BAMS and BHMS Round 2 choice filling, and the all-India quota is moving in parallel, as seen in the AACCC AYUSH UG Round 2 final result.
Before 8 October, log in at cee.kerala.gov.in, check the order of the options shown, delete any college you would not join, and press confirm. The CEE helpline numbers are 0471-2332120 and 0471-2338487.
