Reliance Digital lists the iPhone Air 256GB in Space Black at Rs 99,990 before payment offers, price as of 14 October 2026, 18:23 IST. This is a current retailer check, without a verified date for the price change.

The exact listing, item 494741655, names Reliance Retail Ltd. and shows buy controls, one-year warranty and free delivery by 16 October for the displayed Mumbai postcode 400001. Other addresses need a separate availability check.

Compare the listed prices and payment conditions

Apple’s India store lists the same Space Black 256GB iPhone Air at Rs 1,49,900. The phone was introduced in September 2025, rather than this month. Our earlier report on Apple’s India pricing provides the background. These are separate sellers’ asking prices, not evidence of a new Apple price reduction.

No bank, coupon or exchange benefit has been deducted here. Reliance’s lower advertised effective price is excluded because the linked conditions did not consistently match the displayed offer: an SBI benefit opened HDFC-card terms, while the 7.5% card offer opened conditions ending in September. These links did not establish current handset eligibility.

The matching Flipkart listing showed Rs 99,900 with seller NGIVR RETAILS and an additional Rs 299 Protect Promise Fee. Its Space Black 256GB selection was out of stock, with delivery location unset. The displayed 512GB and 1TB Space Black choices were also unavailable. This check therefore did not establish an orderable alternative at that headline price.

Inspect the delivery before activating

Reliance’s cancellation and return policy gives a five-day window to request eligible replacements, but physical damage and missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery or before activation, whichever is earlier. The policy excludes replacement when a mobile is found activated during investigation. Ordering the wrong model or colour is also excluded. It warns that accepting a damaged box or tampered seal disqualifies the listed damage, defect, wrong-product and missing-accessory claims. Those restrictions make inspection before switching on the delivered phone particularly important.

For Apple and several other brands, the return section directs customers to the brand’s customer care. Claims remain subject to verification; the retailer may seek images or an assessment. The invoice, original box and accessories need to be retained for eligible collection. Replacement requests go to 1800 889 1055 or reliancedigital@ril.com for an authorisation code. For a defective or dead-on-arrival product, a return when replacement stock is unavailable is at Reliance’s discretion, rather than an automatic refund promise. Problems arising after five days are directed to the manufacturer under the applicable warranty. Cancellation is allowed before the shipment becomes out for delivery.

Check the hardware and eSIM before switching

Apple’s specifications identify the Air by its 6.5-inch display, adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, A19 Pro chip, 165g weight and 5.64mm body. It has one 48MP rear camera and an 18MP front camera. The rear camera’s 2x option is not a separate telephoto lens. The box contains a USB-C cable, with the power adapter sold separately.

The Air accepts eSIM only and has no physical SIM-card support. Anyone upgrading from a phone with a removable SIM needs to plan the number transfer, not simply move the card across.

For existing Airtel customers, the operator’s current eSIM instructions describe an app request using the new device’s EID, an OTP on the registered number and a confirmation call after ten minutes. The EID is under Settings, General and About on an iPhone. Airtel says activation can take up to two hours after profile download. It warns that incoming and outgoing SMS, including OTPs, are barred for 24 hours after the request is completed. This matters if a traveller or anyone with an imminent verification task needs text-message access.

Airtel says the profile should be configured within four hours of initiating the request; otherwise, the request is cancelled while the physical SIM continues working. Deleting an installed profile removes mobile service and requires store assistance. These are Airtel’s procedures, not a guarantee for other networks. For the subsequent handover of your old handset, our old-phone preparation checklist covers backup, account sign-out and reset.
