Students of Gurugram University who have papers to clear from earlier odd semesters have until 16 October 2026 to fill their re-appear forms for the December 2026 examinations without paying a late fee.
The schedule is in a notification from the university's Conduct branch, endorsement number GUG/Conduct/2026/19 dated 1 October 2026, which the university posted on its website on 5 October. It covers odd-semester re-appear forms for all courses run by the state university in Sector 87, Gurugram.
After 16 October the fee climbs quickly. The notification sets out three late-fee slabs, and the last one is eight times the first. For a student carrying one or two backlog papers, missing the first date by a week can cost more than the examination fee itself.
The late fee slabs
A late fee of Rs 1,000 per candidate applies to forms filled within seven days of the last date. Counting from 16 October, that window runs to about 23 October.
A late fee of Rs 2,000 per candidate applies within 15 days of the last date, which takes it to around 31 October.
After that, a late fee of Rs 8,000 per candidate applies, and forms will be accepted only up to 15 days before the December examinations begin, as per the examination schedule. The university has not yet given the start date of the December papers in this notice, so the final cut-off will depend on the date sheet.
Two portals, depending on your batch
The forms are split across two websites, and students should check which one applies to them before they start.
Programmes listed in Annexure 1 of the notification are on the university's Samarth portal at gurugramuniversity.samarth.edu.in. After logging in, students go to Examination, then Registration, then Supplementary. Annexure 1 runs to more than 300 programme and semester entries, mostly for students admitted from 2021 to 2025, across courses such as the integrated B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed., B.Tech, B.Arch, B.A. honours and multidisciplinary programmes and postgraduate diplomas.
Annexure 2 covers programmes that are not on Samarth. These students have to use the university's own re-appear page at gurugramuniversity.ac.in/RE. Most of the entries in this list are older intakes, from 2019 to 2023, including master's programmes in subjects such as economics, history, psychology, sociology and Urdu.
A note in Hindi at the bottom of the notification is the line students should not miss. A form filled through any other mode or portal will be treated as invalid, and no claim for a refund or adjustment of fees will be considered. Forms handed to an agent or a cyber café that uses the wrong link will not count.
Problems with the form
The university has asked students not to come to the campus with technical problems. Grievances about the online forms should be sent by email to conduct@gurugramuniversity.ac.in, and the notification says these will be resolved within one to two working days, with the reply going to the student's registered email ID.
The notice has been sent to the chairpersons of university teaching departments and to principals of affiliated colleges, with a request to circulate it to students through every available channel. Students in affiliated colleges should still check the annexures themselves rather than wait for a college notice, since the late fee is charged per candidate and the deadline does not move for a delayed college circular.
Gurugram University is a state government university set up under Haryana Act 17 of 2017. Readers following admissions and exams in the district may also want to look at Haryana's NMMS 2026-27 scholarship applications for Class 8 students and the state's Round 3 MBBS and BDS vacant seat list, which includes seats in Gurugram.
Before you pay
Find your programme, semester and intake year in the correct annexure first. Then use only the link named against it, finish the form before 16 October, and keep the payment receipt and a copy of the submitted form. If the December date sheet comes out early, the Rs 8,000 window could close sooner than many students expect.
