GURUGRAM: Gurugram University issued a recruitment notice on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, listing two Assistant Registrar and seven Clerk-cum-DEO posts for appointment on deputation. The notice, carrying the university's Sector 51 address, invites applications from eligible people already working in regular positions and sets out the documents their employers must forward.

Applications must reach the university through the proper channel by 9 pm IST on November 12, 2026, at establishment@gurugramuniversity.ac.in. The official advertisement, NTD-01/2026, says late applications will not be considered, regardless of the reason for delay.

The posts and eligibility routes

The vacancy table lists the Assistant Registrar posts in Group A at FPL-10 and the Clerk-cum-DEO posts in Group C at FPL-2. Alongside the listed numbers, the university reserves discretion over the number of appointments based on candidates' suitability. The nine listed posts therefore should not be treated as a guarantee that nine appointments will follow.

For Assistant Registrar, one eligibility route is already holding the same or an equivalent post at the same pay level. The alternative is for superintendents with a master's degree or LLB and ten years of experience, including at least five years as a superintendent in a university. The table also specifies Hindi or Sanskrit up to matriculation standard or at a higher level.

The Clerk-cum-DEO entry likewise includes a route for candidates holding the same or an equivalent post at the same pay level. It also lists qualification and service requirements involving Daftri and Group D university employees. Applicants relying on those provisions should check the complete combination of examination marks, qualifications and service in the table. The entry requires applicants to have already cleared the SETC examination.

The cover notice refers to regular staff in central or state universities and government organisations, while the detailed vacancy page refers to central and state universities. Applicants should read both pages and the post-specific conditions when checking eligibility through their employer. The announcement describes appointment through deputation.

What the employer must certify

The forwarding employer or head of office must provide the certificates required by the advertisement. These cover the absence of pending or contemplated vigilance matters, departmental proceedings or court cases; the applicant's integrity; and whether any major or minor penalty has been imposed during the stated service period.

The employer must also enclose duly attested annual confidential reports for the last ten years or the available years. That requirement makes the forwarding process a substantive part of the application, alongside the applicant's own form and certificates.

Applicants must attach self-attested copies of the matriculation certificate showing date of birth, educational qualification documents and an experience certificate issued by the relevant appointing authority. A recent colour passport photograph, self-attested, must be affixed to the form. The university's instructions also allow separate applications for more than one post where qualifications permit.

Tenure and the selection process

The deputation is temporary, for one year or until the vacancy is filled on a regular basis, whichever comes first. The university reserves the right to send the employee back to the parent organisation at any stage. It may conduct a test to shortlist candidates for scrutiny or interview, and will not pay travel or daily allowances for those stages.

Qualifications and eligibility will be assessed against the application cutoff date. Applicants should check entries carefully because changes will not be allowed after submission. Any addendum or correction will appear on the university website; the notice says applicants will not receive separate communication about those changes.
