NEW DELHI: The Filmfare Awards 2026 winners list is still to come on the official event microsite, which says the ceremony will take place in Mumbai in the last week of November 2026. The exact date is yet to be confirmed there. Readers opening that page should check the year carefully: the winners carousel currently displayed is labelled as last year's, from the 70th Filmfare Awards in 2025.
The status was checked on November 2, 2026 at 21:42 IST against the official 71st Filmfare Awards microsite. Its FAQ says the complete 2026 winners list will be published after the ceremony concludes. The page currently invites readers to nominate their favourites, which is a different stage from announcing the final winners.

Why are 2025 winners appearing on the 2026 page?
The event page includes an archive-style section headed as the previous year's winners. That section names Laapataa Ladies for Best Film and Kiran Rao for Best Director, among other honours. Those entries belong to the 70th edition. They are not the results of the forthcoming 71st ceremony.
The distinction is confirmed by the official 2025 winners page. A search result that combines a 2026 page title with a winner's name from that carousel can therefore be misleading when read without the section label. The edition number, award year and heading above a result all need to match.
There is a second year distinction to keep in mind. The 2026 ceremony recognises eligible films released in 2025. That does not turn a 2025 ceremony's results into the 2026 results. The release period establishes which films may be considered; the ceremony year identifies the edition making the awards.
Which films are eligible for Filmfare Awards 2026?
The FAQ states that eligible films must have been released in India between January 1 and December 31, 2025 and certified by the Central Board of Film Certification. The microsite also links to its own list of Hindi films released during that year.
That official 2025 films list includes Chhaava, Saiyaara, Jolly LLB 3 and War 2, among many others. Inclusion on this release list should not be reported as a nomination or a win. The three lists serve different purposes: eligible releases, announced nominees and eventual award recipients.
The main page says nominees will be announced a few days before the final awards date. It does not supply a specific nomination-announcement day in that answer. Until an official shortlist appears, an eligible-film list cannot answer which titles have secured nominations in a particular category.
How do public voting and the jury fit together?
The official FAQ describes popular awards as combining audience votes with a jury, while critics' and technical honours are decided by expert panels. Public nomination choices therefore should not be interpreted as a direct, complete tally that determines every award on its own.
The microsite groups its honours under Popular, Critics, Technical and Special. The popular section includes Best Film, Best Director, lead and supporting acting awards, music, lyrics and playback singing. Other listed honours cover areas such as screenplay, cinematography, editing and debut performances. A claim about one category should preserve its full label, particularly when distinguishing popular acting honours from critics' awards.
Where will the Filmfare Awards 2026 be broadcast?
The current FAQ says a partner television channel and YouTube coverage are planned, with broadcast timings to be revealed closer to the event. It does not name that television partner in the answer. A channel name, streaming start time or precise ceremony date should therefore wait for a specific official update.
