CM Yogi Adityanath Attends UP Ayush Minister's Son’s Wedding in Varanasi

VARANASI — A gathering of high-profile dignitaries and VVIPs descended upon the city of Varanasi on Tuesday, as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the wedding ceremony of Animesh, the son of UP Ayush Minister Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’.

The Chief Minister, who arrived in Kashi for a scheduled two-day visit, graced the celebration held at a local hotel in Rohaniya to bless the newlywed couple and extend his warmest wishes.

High-Profile Attendance and Tight Security

The grand event saw an array of top political figures, including:

  • Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla

  • UP Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak

  • Several state and central government ministers, public representatives, and senior BJP leaders.

Given the concentrated presence of VVIPs and the Chief Minister, the Varanasi city administration enforced strict security measures and implemented comprehensive traffic route diversions across key areas to ensure seamless transit and order.

A Dual-Purpose Visit to Kashi

The wedding reception was part of a larger, two-day itinerary for Chief Minister Adityanath in the holy city. Earlier in the evening, the CM offered prayers at both the iconic Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the Kaal Bhairav Temple to seek blessings. Following his spiritual visits, he held a review meeting at the Circuit House with local administrative officials and public representatives to evaluate ongoing development projects, security frameworks, and regional law and order.

The Chief Minister’s visit will conclude on Wednesday following the launch of two major state welfare initiatives at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC): a landmark Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme benefiting roughly 1.1 crore council school students and a cashless medical insurance program providing up to ₹5 lakh in coverage for eligible government school teachers and education staff.
