Yamanashi Governor Leads Japanese Delegation Through Sarnath and Kashi on Investment-Culture Visit

Yamanashi Prefecture Governor Kotaro Nagasaki led a Japanese investment-and-culture delegation through Sarnath and Varanasi on 22–23 August 2026. Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh accompanied the visitors. Local briefings put the Sarnath group near 75 and the overall travelling party near 109.

The delegation landed at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport, Babatpur, and stopped at Asha Mahavidyalaya, where Pindra MLA Awadhesh Singh joined the welcome.
