NEW DELHI: Xiaomi has put a date on its festive sale. The mi.com India home page says "The Real Sale" starts on 8 October, and the company's Diwali with Xiaomi 2026 page runs a countdown to the same day. The page already carries "starting" prices, including Rs 44,999 for the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G and Rs 1,19,999 for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
What Xiaomi is advertising
The home page lists the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G "starting from" Rs 44,999 and the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G from Rs 33,999. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is shown at Rs 1,19,999. Each figure carries an asterisk, and the product pages say the activity is "subject to final payment price".
The Diwali page itself shows only a timer, so the product pages are the place to check the numbers.
How the starting prices add up
On 3 October the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G page showed the 8GB plus 256GB model at Rs 49,999 against a marketing price of Rs 69,999. It lists up to Rs 5,000 off on ICICI Bank credit cards and a flat Rs 5,000 off on HDFC Bank credit card EMI. Take Rs 5,000 from Rs 49,999 and you reach the advertised Rs 44,999.
The same sum works for the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G. Its 8GB plus 128GB model costs Rs 36,999 against a marketing price of Rs 49,999. Card offers of up to Rs 3,000 take it to the advertised Rs 33,999.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra in 16GB plus 512GB is Rs 1,39,999 against a marketing price of Rs 1,69,999. The page shows an instant Rs 10,000 discount applied automatically at checkout, plus card offers of up to Rs 10,000 from ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank or SBI. Rs 1,39,999 less both discounts is Rs 1,19,999. That is our arithmetic from the listed offers; Xiaomi does not spell out the sum.
So the sale prices are not a new cut to the sticker price. They are today's store prices minus a card discount. A shopper paying by UPI or a debit card may not qualify for the lowest figure. The product pages also list separate UPI discounts, Rs 3,000 on the Pro Max and Rs 2,000 on the Pro, but they do not say whether those stack with the card offers.
What to check before you buy
The marketing price is not what anyone has been paying. The Pro Max is already Rs 20,000 below its marketing price, so the real saving the card offer adds is Rs 5,000, not the Rs 25,000 the gap between Rs 69,999 and Rs 44,999 suggests.
Our report on the Xiaomi 17T showed that its store price has risen since launch, so compare each sale price with the launch price too.
These prices were captured before the sale begins, and Xiaomi may change them on 8 October. Check the final figure in your cart, the card eligibility and any minimum order value.
Amazon's Great Indian Festival begins on 8 October and Flipkart's Big Billion Days on 9 October, and we set out their dates and card offers in our festive sale guide.
