Where the prices begin

The Taigun table separates engine size, equipment grade and gearbox. Comfortline is the entry point, followed by Highline and Highline Plus in the Chrome range. Topline occupies the upper end of the smaller-engine range. GT Line adds a separate styling choice while retaining the smaller petrol engine.

Volkswagen lists no Comfortline automatic in this price table. The automatic entry point is therefore Highline, even though the Comfortline starting price is used prominently on the model page. Reading the gearbox column alongside the price prevents those separate versions from being mistaken for the same car.

Highline, Highline Plus, Topline and GT Line each have a manual and an automatic entry. The GT Plus versions are listed with DSG only. The complete table also keeps GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport apart, as the company publishes a separate price for each.

GT Line and GT Plus have different engines

GT Line uses the 1.0 TSI engine. GT Plus Chrome and GT Plus Sport use the 1.5 TSI engine. The shared GT lettering can obscure that difference in a short advertisement, but the price table and technical sheet identify the engine capacity beside the variant name.

The smaller engine produces 115 PS and 178 Nm according to Volkswagen. It is paired with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The larger engine is rated at 150 PS and 250 Nm and uses a seven-speed DSG. These are manufacturer specifications, not measurements from an independent road test.

The technical sheet identifies Active Cylinder Technology on the larger engine. It also lists rear disc brakes for the larger-engine versions and rear drums for the smaller-engine versions. The change between the engine groups therefore includes mechanical details beyond the power output and the lettering on the tailgate.

What the equipment table clarifies

The current brochure gives separate columns to the Chrome and Sport grades. It lists full LED headlamps and engine idle start-stop throughout the range. Other features have more limited availability, so the general model-page photographs cannot stand in for the equipment column of a particular version.

For example, the brochure places the front light band and illuminated front logo on Topline and the GT Plus versions. GT Line has its own black exterior details and cabin treatment. That makes the difference between a styling package and a higher equipment grade visible in the published specification.

The model page also highlights a panoramic sunroof, a digital cockpit, voice commands and front parking sensors among the range's features. These are presented as product highlights. Their presence in a promotional description should be read alongside the variant matrix rather than assumed from the starting price.

Size, luggage room and published efficiency

Volkswagen gives the Taigun a length of 4,221 mm and a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. Published boot space is 385 litres, expanding to 1,405 litres. The expanded capacity describes a different cabin arrangement, so it is not the luggage volume available with all the seats in normal use.

Certified efficiency is listed at 19.98 km/l for the smaller-engine manual, 19.54 km/l for its automatic and 18.85 km/l for the DSG version. Volkswagen attributes these numbers to testing under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules. They provide a common specification reference, not a promise for a particular commute.

The body dimensions remain the same across the engine columns, while equipment and mechanical specifications change. A higher price consequently should not be interpreted as purchasing a physically larger Taigun. The differences are in the stated engine, gearbox, trim and features rather than a separate body size.

Reading the final amount

Every amount in this table is the vehicle's published ex-showroom figure. It does not establish an on-road total for Delhi or another city. Registration, insurance and chosen additions need to be identified separately, and a monthly finance amount is not directly comparable with the full vehicle price.

The range is presented here as a current price reference, without retailer discounts or exchange benefits. Volkswagen's published materials allow specifications and equipment to change. A dated quotation can be checked against the exact grade, engine and transmission listed above, with optional items shown separately from the car.
