Varanasi Gets Its First Mercedes-Benz Showroom: Luxury Landmark Opens in Harahua

Varanasi took a major step into the luxury automobile segment on Friday as the city’s first official Mercedes-Benz showroom was inaugurated in the rapidly developing Harahua area. The state-of-the-art facility, operated by authorised dealer Prime Star Mercedes, marks the German luxury brand’s formal entry into Eastern Uttar Pradesh’s spiritual capital.

The new 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) outlet brings official Mercedes-Benz sales, after-sales support and genuine spares to Varanasi for the first time. Residents and buyers from neighbouring districts including Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Ghazipur will no longer need to travel to Lucknow or Kanpur for authorised services or vehicle purchases.

Located along the Harahua stretch near the airport road, the showroom has been developed as part of Mercedes-Benz India’s aggressive “Go to Customer” strategy aimed at high-potential Tier-2 and emerging markets. Prime Star, led by investors Harshit Bajaj and Mansi Bajaj under PR Wheels LLP, already runs successful Mercedes-Benz facilities in Agra and Kanpur. The Varanasi outlet completes their presence across key cities in Uttar Pradesh.

Local auto enthusiasts and business leaders welcomed the development as a clear signal of Varanasi’s rising economic aspirations. The city’s growing number of luxury vehicles on the roads, improved connectivity through the Ring Road and expanding infrastructure have created strong demand for premium brands with dedicated local support.

The facility is expected to display the full Mercedes-Benz range, including the popular long-wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE SUVs, high-end S-Class and Maybach models, as well as the brand’s expanding electric vehicle portfolio. Customers will also get access to premium ownership experiences such as personalised consultations, exclusive lounges and dedicated vehicle handover bays — features already standard at Prime Star’s other outlets.

Mercedes-Benz India has been steadily expanding its network in 2026, with plans for more than 20 new luxury outlets across the country and investments exceeding ₹450 crore from franchise partners. The Varanasi inauguration fits squarely into this roadmap of bringing the three-pointed star closer to aspirational buyers outside the metros.

For Varanasi, the opening is more than just another car dealership. It reflects the city’s quiet but steady transformation — from a primarily spiritual and traditional economy to one that is also attracting global luxury brands. Local buyers can now experience German engineering and after-sales excellence without leaving the city.

The Harahua showroom is now open for customers. For enquiries and test drives, residents can contact Prime Star Mercedes through their official channels.
