GURUGRAM: Suzuki Motorcycle India has added a Special Edition to its Hayabusa line-up, priced at Rs 19,90,000 ex-showroom Delhi. The standard Hayabusa, which gets three new colour options and some electronic updates at the same time, is priced at Rs 18,99,000 ex-showroom Delhi. Both prices are from Suzuki's official announcement dated 28 September 2026 and are the latest official figures as of 5 October 2026, 2:30 AM IST.

That puts the Special Edition Rs 91,000 above the regular bike before registration, insurance and other charges. The on-road price in any city will be noticeably higher than these ex-showroom numbers, so buyers should ask the dealer for a full written quote.

What the Special Edition adds

The Special Edition comes in a single colour, Pearl Vigor Blue. Suzuki says it gets special decals and a special wheel finish, a three-dimensional SUZUKI emblem on the fuel tank and a Special Edition potting emblem on the tank as well.

There are also anodised finishes on the muffler ends and heat guard parts. A single-seat cowl, which covers the pillion seat and turns the Hayabusa into a solo machine visually, comes as standard on this version rather than as an accessory.

In short, the Special Edition is a styling and finish package. Suzuki has not announced any change in engine output or hardware specific to this version, and the 1,340cc engine is common to both bikes.

Three new colours for the regular Hayabusa

The standard Hayabusa now comes in three new dual-tone schemes:

Candy Daring Red with Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Galaxy Gray with Candy Burnt Gold, and Pearl Vigor Blue with Pearl Brilliant White.

If you like the blue of the Special Edition but do not want to pay the extra, the Pearl Vigor Blue and white scheme on the standard bike is the closest option, though it does not carry the Special Edition's tank emblems, anodised parts or standard seat cowl.

Electronics and battery updates

Both versions get a set of updates that Suzuki describes as rider-focused. The bike now uses a lighter, more compact ELIIY Power lithium-ion battery, which the company says gives more stable voltage under load.

The Launch Control System and Power Mode Selector have revised settings. Suzuki has not published the exact new values in its announcement, so riders who care about the details should ask for a demonstration at the dealership.

The Smart Cruise Control system has also been updated so that it stays active through gear changes. On a long highway run, that means the rider does not have to reset cruise control each time they shift, which is a small but practical change for touring.

What Suzuki says

Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, "The Hayabusa has always represented the pinnacle of Suzuki's engineering, performance and design philosophy. With the launch of the Hayabusa Special Edition and the introduction of new colour options, we aim to offer customers an even more exclusive and premium ownership experience while preserving the iconic character that has made the Hayabusa a global legend."

Who should look at it

The Hayabusa sits at the very top of Suzuki's Indian range and is bought mostly by experienced riders who want a big, fast touring sport bike. At close to Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom, the Special Edition makes sense mainly for those who want a more exclusive look straight from the factory without adding aftermarket parts.

For most buyers, the more useful news is that the standard bike gets the same electronic updates and battery change at Rs 18,99,000 ex-showroom Delhi. The difference between the two is cosmetic.

The festive season is also bringing other premium two-wheeler news. Bajaj recently updated the console on its Pulsar NS400Z, and touring riders may want to read about the Tiger Heartland ride planned in Madhya Pradesh this month.

Both Hayabusa versions are available at Suzuki dealerships across India, according to the company. Full details are on Suzuki's Hayabusa page and in the Suzuki media kit.
