VARANASI: Sarva Vaishya Samaj has scheduled a ceremonial procession and jalabhishek for Baba Vishwanath, beginning from the Marwari Yuvak Sangh premises in Luxa and moving through the old-city corridor towards Gyanvapi. Women carrying kalash vessels, devotional tableaux and a cultural presentation titled Namastubhyam are planned as central elements of the programme.

Organisers said the route would pass Girjaghar, Godowlia, Bansphatak and Chowk before reaching Gyanvapi. Minister of State Ravindra Jaiswal is a patron of the committee, while president R K Chaudhary and other office-bearers have been involved in preparations.
