Police Probe Reported ₹4.71 Lakh Motorcycle Theft at Manduadih Showroom

VARANASI: Police have opened an investigation into the reported theft of a premium motorcycle worth about ₹4.71 lakh from a showroom in the Manduadih area, after CCTV footage allegedly captured a young man moving through the premises for nearly four hours before riding away.

The incident is unusual not only for the value of the motorcycle but for the amount of time the intruder is reported to have spent inside the agency. According to an account given by the showroom manager and carried in a verified Dalimss News Banaras report, the outlet closed at around 10 pm on Monday. The man is alleged to have reached the property at approximately 11.30 pm and cut through the glass entrance with a cutter.

What the CCTV reportedly shows

Once inside, the intruder did not immediately leave with a vehicle. The available account says he examined several motorcycles, sat on chairs and used facilities within the showroom. He allegedly took water from a mini refrigerator, prepared coffee, bathed in the washroom and played music before dancing on the premises.

The same account alleges that he collected a branded T-shirt, a cap and a motorcycle cover. At around 4 am on Tuesday, roughly four-and-a-half hours after his reported arrival, the man is said to have left on one of the motorcycles. The break-in came to light shortly before daybreak. The showroom manager reportedly received a call from the security guard at around 5 am and found the glass door damaged on reaching the agency. Police were then alerted through the Dial 112 emergency service.
