NEW DELHI: Google Store India sells the Pixel Buds 2a for Rs 12,999 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 for Rs 22,900, so the Pro 2 costs Rs 9,901 more. Google lists 12 months of no-cost EMI on both, at Rs 1,083 a month for the 2a and Rs 1,908 a month for the Pro 2. Price as of 24 October 2026, 6:50 PM IST.

The difference buys longer battery life, wireless charging and more advanced noise handling. Both earbuds use Google's Tensor A1 chip and a twist-to-adjust stabiliser, and both work with Android, iPhone, tablets and laptops over Bluetooth, according to Google's pages.

What the Rs 12,999 Pixel Buds 2a give you

Google's page for the Buds 2a lists an 11 mm dynamic driver, a 5-band equaliser and IP54 sweat and water resistance. Battery life is up to 7 hours of listening with Active Noise Cancellation, or 20 hours in total with the charging case. A 5-minute charge in the case adds up to 1 hour of listening, Google says.

Google's page says Silent Seal 1.5 and the Tensor A1 chip bring what it calls pro-level noise cancellation to the A series for the first time. It also lists Clear Calling, Fast Pair with Android phones, Find Hub to locate the buds on a map and automatic switching between devices. The Buds 2a do not support wireless charging, as Google's own FAQ states.

What the Rs 22,900 Pixel Buds Pro 2 add

Google's page for the Pro 2 says the Tensor A1 chip cancels twice the noise, and lists Silent Seal 2.0, Adaptive Audio and protection from sudden loud noises. It adds spatial audio with head tracking, a swipe gesture for volume and up to 30 hours of listening with the case and noise cancellation. Google says that is up to 10 hours longer than the Buds 2a with the case.

Google also lists wireless charging on the Pro 2. Its page still marks Live Translate and Gemini voice control for audio settings as coming in September 2026, so check that these features have reached your phone before you buy for them.

What comes with the earbuds

Google's FAQ says the Buds 2a come with medium eartips attached and extra small, small and large eartips in the pack. It recommends trying at least two sizes for each ear, since the left and right ears can differ, and then using the twist-to-adjust stabiliser to lock the bud in place. Google Store lists free delivery on both models.

Which one to pick

The Rs 9,901 gap is 76 percent of the Buds 2a price. The Pro 2 makes sense for people who travel or commute daily and want spatial audio, Adaptive Audio and wireless charging. The Buds 2a cover the basics, with noise cancellation, a lighter price and 20 hours of total battery life with the case. Google lists the Buds 2a in Fog and the Buds Pro 2 in Porcelain on these pages, and other colours may be sold.
