NEET PAPER LEAK

NEW DELHI — The ongoing demonstration at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy intensified on Wednesday as protesters reacted with fierce outrage to recent statements attributed to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The sit-in, spearheaded by the youth-centric Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has entered its fifth consecutive day with activists firmly demanding the Minister's immediate resignation.

Tensions escalated dramatically after Minister Pradhan allegedly referred to the protesting groups as a "B-team of terrorists". The remark sparked immediate condemnation from student leaders and opposition parties who accuse the government of gaslighting victims of an administrative failure.

Responding to the Minister's comments, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke expressed deep anger during a press briefing. "Are we asking for votes? We are asking for justice," Dipke said, noting that the affected students and their families are tax-paying citizens. "You called farmers and doctors terrorists. Who is left?"

The controversy unfolds against the backdrop of massive systemic disruption. The initial May 3 NEET-UG examination, which saw over 2.2 million aspirants participate, was cancelled after investigations revealed a staggering overlap between leaked guess papers and the actual exam questions. While a heavily policed re-examination was conducted on June 21, student groups maintain that a rerun does not absolve the National Testing Agency (NTA) or the ministry of accountability for the psychological trauma and reported student suicides linked to the crisis.

The CJP has launched creative demonstrations at the site, including a "diaper donation drive" to mock the government’s inability to plug systemic "leaks," and vows to continue the occupation of Jantar Mantar indefinitely.
