NEW DELHI: The OPPO Reno16c 5G now costs Rs 52,999 for the 8GB plus 128GB model on OPPO's India store, Rs 6,000 more than the Rs 46,999 OPPO announced at launch on 2 July 2026. The bigger Reno16 5G has moved too. It is listed at Rs 66,999 for 8GB plus 256GB, against Rs 61,999 at launch. Both rises land just before the festive sales.
What OPPO announced in July
OPPO's launch release priced the Reno16 5G at Rs 61,999 for 8GB plus 256GB and Rs 67,999 for 12GB plus 256GB. The Reno16c 5G started at Rs 46,999 for 8GB plus 128GB, Rs 49,999 for 8GB plus 256GB and Rs 55,999 for 12GB plus 256GB. Sales began on 9 July with up to 10 per cent cashback on cards and UPI, and a Rs 5,000 exchange bonus.
How the price moved
OPPO's own Reno16c price page, which it dated as correct on 9 September, already showed a first rise. The Reno16c started at Rs 49,999, up Rs 3,000, and the 12GB plus 256GB model was Rs 59,999. The Reno16 5G started at Rs 66,999 on the same date.
The OPPO Store page for the Reno16c showed a second rise when we checked on 3 October. The 8GB plus 128GB model is Rs 52,999 with a printed list price of Rs 74,999 and a "29% off" tag. The Reno16 5G page shows Rs 66,999 for 8GB plus 256GB against a list price of Rs 89,999. Those percentages use the printed list price, not the July launch price.
We did not find a company note explaining the changes. The store shows an instant bank discount of up to Rs 5,299 on the Reno16c, equal to 10 per cent of the price, plus no-cost EMI from Rs 5,889 a month and exchange savings of up to Rs 47,950. The exchange figure is a ceiling and depends on your old phone.
What you get
The Reno16c has a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip. Its cameras include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The battery is 7,000mAh with 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The Reno16 5G swaps in the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 6,700mAh battery. OPPO sells the Reno16c as the larger-battery, lower-priced model, so its price rise matters most for budget buyers.
What to do before the sales
First, compare the offer-adjusted price with July. A Rs 5,299 bank discount takes the Reno16c to Rs 47,700, which is still above the launch sticker.
Second, wait for the sale pages. Amazon's Great Indian Festival begins on 8 October and Flipkart's Big Billion Days on 9 October, as we explained in our guide to both events. Check the exact variant and the final checkout price, since a Rs 2,000 coupon on a higher base price is not a bargain.
Third, note the pattern. vivo's store has shown a similar climb, as we reported in our X300 FE price report. Prices on the official store can change without notice, so screenshot the page before you buy.
