NEW DELHI: The OPPO F33 Pro 5G costs Rs 2,000 more on OPPO's India store than it did when it was launched in April, and the standard F33 5G costs Rs 3,000 more. The store listed the F33 Pro 5G 8GB plus 128GB at Rs 39,999 on 3 October, against a launch price of Rs 37,999. The F33 5G 6GB plus 128GB was Rs 34,999, against Rs 31,999 at launch. We found no OPPO notice explaining the change.

Launch price against store price

OPPO announced the F33 Series in India on 15 April 2026. Its price table gave the F33 Pro 5G at Rs 37,999 for 8GB plus 128GB and Rs 40,999 for 8GB plus 256GB. The F33 5G started at Rs 31,999 for 6GB plus 128GB, with Rs 34,999 for 8GB plus 128GB and Rs 37,999 for 8GB plus 256GB. The Pro went on sale on 23 April and the standard model on 26 April.

The store pages for the F33 Pro 5G and the F33 5G now show higher figures for the base variants. The Pro in Misty Forest at 8GB plus 128GB is Rs 39,999, a rise of about 5 per cent. The F33 in Pearl White at 6GB plus 128GB is Rs 34,999, a rise of about 9 per cent. We did not check the 256GB models.

What the "28% off" label means

Both pages carry a crossed-out price and a "28% off" tag. The F33 Pro shows Rs 55,999 struck through and the F33 shows Rs 48,999. Neither number matches anything OPPO announced at launch. The Pro's struck-through figure is Rs 18,000 above its launch price, and the F33's is Rs 17,000 above. A shopper who reads the tag as a saving may miss that the phone is dearer than at launch.

The same pattern showed up in our look at the OPPO Reno16c and Reno16, which also cost more on OPPO's store now than when they were launched in July.

Offers and what you get

The pages list a 10 per cent instant bank discount, capped at Rs 3,999 on the Pro and Rs 3,499 on the F33, along with no-cost EMI. Taking the full cap off the current price gives Rs 36,000 for the Pro and Rs 31,500 for the F33. That is a card price, not a shelf price, and it needs an eligible bank card. OPPO's launch offers also included up to 10 per cent instant cashback on leading bank cards, so the card discount is not new.

The hardware is unchanged from launch. OPPO described both phones with a 7,000mAh battery, 80W SUPERVOOC charging, ColorOS 16 and a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX chip. The Pro adds a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera and IP69K dust and water protection. The standard model has a 16MP front camera.

What to do before you buy

Check the variant and the final price in the cart, because the store may change the listing during its festive sales. Amazon's Great Indian Festival begins on 8 October and Flipkart's Big Billion Days on 9 October, and our festive sale guide sets out how their card offers work. Compare any sale price with the Rs 37,999 and Rs 31,999 launch figures, not with the crossed-out price.
